Has your course opened?

Alight so I live in Minnesota and they are predicting another round of snow possibly this week. I don't think I can wait too much longer to get on a course. I'm thinking this weekend I'm going to drive as far as I have to go to get on a course. So the question is, what's the closest location to southern Minnesota that has a dang golf course open?!

I know for a fact there are courses open in the Des Moines, IA area. Not sure if you want to drive that far south, but I'd imagine other courses are open farther north as well.

For the most part, have been for a couple weeks sans a light snowfall that knocked them out for a couple days.


Every course in NJ should be open by this weekend I'd hope.

What's your course of choice? In the same area I usually go to Pinch Brook for practice rounds and Crystal Springs for a decent challenge.

I connected planes in Minneapolis a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe the amount of snow you guys still had on the ground. Around here, many places are open, but the temperatures won't cooperate... Getting close though!

HEY IT'S NOT THAT BAD!!!!

 

Minneapolis is a great place to live, last year and the year before I played in March. The snow has been a lot this year and the late snow falls stinks, but I have been looking around and it has been cold everywhere in the midwest this year and snowy.

 

I am antsy to play but nothing you can do about it so why worry about it too much.

no, not yet. We have nice and sunny weather for three orr four days, than we got an inch of pesky snow. Snow doesn't stay but the grass wont grow so they can not cut it yet.

The least fun course is open, with tee mats and temporary greens. But the course is like a frozen swamp right now...

Wow.....this sucks for you guys. Our courses are never closed. We can play every single day 365 days a year. Saw the thread awhile ago about posting your score for the first round of the year. Dang....I've played about 3 rounds a week since the first day of the year. In fact...I played on January 1 but it was a tad chilly with a high of about 55.

Soldiers Field in Rochester is open. Rest will probably maybe open this weekend. Atleast thats what I been told.

Here in upstate New York some courses opened two weeks ago then closed after we got more snow. My home course opens tomorrow, however we're supposed to get snow from late Thursday into Friday.
