Shaft advice

New here.... and looking for some helpful advice

 

I'm 51 and hit a long (and high) ball.

 

i currently have use a 325cc KZG driver with 9 degree loft and a stiff tip and stiff flex shaft

 

Here are the numbers from this past week...

 

av swing speed: 118 mph (I have consciously slowing this down about 10% due to the shaft not being stiff enough so I get better control)

av spin rate: around 5000 rpm

av launch angle: 17-18 degrees

smash factor: just over 1.49

av carry: just over 305

almost all balls were very straight as measured

 

Wanted to build a new shaft. Fitting pro is having some trouble searching for something to get launch angle and spin rate down.

 

Yes, I hit it longer than most.... but why not try to get another 30-40 yds if i can. Not looking to modify my swing though

RIP and the Voodoos only come in 2X at this time- RIP does play on the softer side

Every player tries to achieve a SM as close to 1.5 as they can get.. 1.5 being the mast efficient contact...
A smash factor of "OVER 1.49" as you declare to have, is as perfect a contact that you can get....
Stop being greedy or go for less loft and x stiff shaft!!!

I know the LD only come in XX I was suggesting a standard RIP or Pype. You may know a few hitters were using a tippped standard Pype.

Have to agree, the best shaft out there by a country mile
