What I dont understand is this; guys on this site say rust takes spin away, yet in every WITB for all these tournaments, 9 out of 10 guys have rusty wedges...?

kakakakaka- but he aint a chop on a 20+ handicap that needs more workability, throws up inside his mouth a little just at the sight of a shovel and will learn faster by hitting realllly bad shots with a butterknife- or words to that effect

rickie uses titleist mb's as well...lots of young players using blades
if anything its the older guys who're past their prime looking for a little extra forgiveness

They have raw wedges, the faces aren't necessarily rusted. Plus, i can tell you, unless you are intentionally rusting them, the sole and the face remain fairly rust free from the frequent contact with the ground.But yes, rust itself is brittle and powdery, think of it as a thin layer or dirt on your grooves

What a great week of golf for him! Really enjoyed watching it. Congrats
