Staff Bags vs Carry Bags

Carlo

Recommended Posts

It's no better to pull a trolley and have more space?
I was wondering on the very large use of Carry Bags!
Staff Bags are more spacious and they can be carried on an electric trolley or even a manual one will give less stress than carry on for the whole course!

What actually makes many peoples prefer the carry bag instead of the staff bag on the trolley?

Just curiosity as I am going to move to the States soon and I am not that young anymore to carry a bag for 18 holes (especially if it is hot).

I often use a Sun Mountain Speed Cart and still prefer to use a stand bag with it - reason is, even though the pull cart is very helpful, it's alot to lug around. Depending on the car I'm driving, it can be difficult to get the bag and cart in the trunk, even with the smaller stand bag. With a large staff bag, it'd be impossible to put both items in the trunk of our sedans. I'd be limited to taking the SUV all the time for golf.

Beyond that, the use of the stand bag gives me the option to carry when I want and use a pull cart when I want, without having to change bags.

With the Ping bags, I have plenty of room to carry everything I need. I've had several nice staff bags pass through my possession as novelty items - there's no way in the world I could or would carry enough stuff onto the course to fill all (or even half) of those pockets!!!

I only ride golf carts (electric trolleys) when it is mandated by the course.

i prefer to carry because no matter where i am (except on the green) my clubs can come with me and i always have the option of walking straight to where i want to go (such as across the green to leave my bag closer to the next tee) or on the tee box... i can put my bag down right on the tee and decide what club i want to use instead of grab a few and leave them on the ground or make a few trips...there are quite a few bags out there that are 3.5 lbs... not too hard to carry... but that's my 2 cents

I use a stand bag because I always walk in the fall, winter, and spring. The only time I don't walk is when it's really hot and humid, I just find it too draining and I don't play as well.

I bought a really nice push cart this spring, and I use that whenever I walk. I love my carry bag, but I'm thinking of getting a cart bag only because they fit better on my pushcart. Well, that, and I really want this sweet MacGregor Staff bag I saw on sale at Dick's. :fool:

Of course, if my wife gets me the Eagles Callaway stand bag I've been hinting at for our 10th anniversary, I'll stick with a carry bag. :cheesy:
