Soon I will have a couple of new lefty putters. I am working on them right now.
I have always felt that you must have a good lefty and the TM5 Maxfli was pretty good.

Tad-

Thanks for the kind words-

Already placed a photo and thoughts of my TM-5 on a previous thread.

Seve used a Tad Moore TM2. I know I made it, fitted it and worked on all his clubs. He got his putter in 1990. Before Scotty

Scotty has millions of dollars marketing his products. It helps.

It was a TM2 I had back in the 90s, not a TM1, I've got both now. I just got another mint TM2 in the post today that I won on ebay. I always remember the ball just used to stay on the face a little longer with the Maxfli TM2, only slightly longer but I could feel it.

Going to get this putter out on the course, the feel & look is fantastic.

I was very luck to acquire this set of irons a few years ago that were once owned by Seve. They were given to Sergio ,who traded to a PGA player for a putter. The clubs have been authenticated by Dunlop based on the serial numbers.

They are the same heads as the Limited set of 1000 that you see every now and then on Ebay. These are 1-9 ,the pitching , very thin topline, no offest.I have a used set of Limited Seves that have the x100 shafts in them and they are incredible feeling iron.

wedge is a Wilson
He will be missed,as one of the most creative and dynamic personalities to ever hit a balata ,in IMHO.

if anyone has any pictures of Seves clubs or stories they would like to share I would love to see and hear.

I can only think of one phrase to describe those irons.... Pure as the driven snow.

Enjoy the TM2 putters. A fine putter design and putter. You will note three shafts. Stiff P500, Med P300 and Feel P100. Great grips I designed for these.
[/quote]

Unfortunately the shaft band is worn, so I can't tell what shaft is in it.

Yes these grips are lovely, this one has the original grip, although it's quite worn, I will try, but I don't think I will be able to find a replacement.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, however with all of the Open ads and clips that are on TV I've been seeing a lot of Seve that has led me to watch a lot of old footage on YouTube etc. I watched the challenge match again this week between Seve and Jack Nicklaus that took place at Dublin in 1986 that is referred to earlier in this thread. Terrific stuff, there is a small segment where Jack looks at Seve's irons and you get a glimpse of the club in close up (Supremo irons).

I remember after Seve won at Lytham in 1988 he auctioned his clubs for charity, I can only assume that the person who ended up with them created this site:

http://www.seveballesterosgolfclubs.com/

I have no idea as to the authenticity of this site or whether this person still owns the clubs (if legit) however it does tally with my memories of reading about his clubs being auctioned off.

I love reading about the stars I grew up watching and the equipment they played.

I join you Teevons - just couldnt resist these when they came up on ePay.

described as 'Never been hit, a bit mouldy' .

I was the only bidder - didnt cost too much to get the full set of 352/999 of these gorgeous clubs comprising

Irons 1 to SW, Woods 1,3,4 all shafted with X100.

The great man's signature on them is lovely

All shafts have an extra sticker with 639X PGO on them - not sure what that means though.

I only dared take the SW out for 9 holes.

Didnt find the bunker but got up and down 4 times using it ( some were flukes i admit)

Its not the easiest SW to use.

I cant imaging the strength and skill required to hit the skinny 1 iron.

Ah! they are now just for show.

In my shrine - To Seve !

Golf clubs used to have such a certain beauty and elegance about them... there are some good looking clubs nowadays, but absolutely nothing compares to those photos...

I followed Seve at the '87 US Open at Olympic during practice rounds and every day whenever I could catch up with him. He was really hitting it sideways all week and I can't remember seeing him ever being in the fairway. He was in the weeds, under trees, against fences, everywhere but where he was supposed to be, which I guess was a good way to see his magic. I do remember a few pretty remarkable rescue shots that you just couldn't imagine how he got where he was or how he was going to get back where he belonged. Every time going for the full on hero shot. I was playing that course every day back then and I remember thinking that if I was hitting like that, it'd have been 90, at least. Olympic was full of trees in those days with lots of low branches and you just couldn't be out of the fairway much. It was much different looking than it is now. I just went back and checked his scores...66, 75, 68, 71...unbelievable.
