both are awesome. it all depends on what you want though. if you want a nice high trajectory go with the MP-33's. if you want a lower trajectory go with the MP-37's.

it should be noted that Mizuno USA did take the MP-33 off of their website (it was in the Signature Product Line), and the new 2007 Mizuno Catalog makes no mention of them (the MP-37's, and MP-30's will comprise the Signature Product Line). so it would appear that the MP-33's are done, at least as far as Mizuno USA is concerned.

exactly,

but don't be afraid of MP37's because they are "LOW TRAJECTORY" irons, i use them, and i find not much different from any other blades, like nike, 680,670s..

I played them both and here's my take:

MP 37 are a fantastic iron didn't launch the ball much lower than the 33's. Yes, I launch the 33's higher, but without sacrificing distance. If you can hit it just as far but higher in the irons, I see that as an huge plus. Some people don't. Anyhow, the 2 biggest differences for me were: forgiveness and bounce.

The 37 are much less forgiving than than the 33's....heck there's a reason not one Miz staffer plays the 37's.

There is bit more bounce and more blunted leading edge on the 33's. Which I prefer...but I'm more a digger than picker.

Both are incredibly soft and solid...just georgeous irons. You can't go wrong with either, just take 'inventory' of your game and decide what more appropriate for you.

Most of the PGA guys are playing with MP32, but there are a few Nationwide players using 37's. Also, I am the type of person that does not really look at what pro's are playing or not playing to determine my selections. If every pro stopped playing Cleveland clubs, I would still play them. I try everything out and make up my own mind, but I do admit, I will try something that more pros are using first. Many people think the Hibore was a flop, but I love that club. It replaced my launcher comp and I have not looked back.

I have played with the mp-32, mp-60, mp-33 and just recently bought a set of mp-37. Have not played with them except a quick 9 holes, but I love them. I just could not justify the added expense of MP-32 or MP-60, when I got the 37's 2-PW brand new with warranty, for only $400.

Let me clarify a bit...

I didn't intend to make the point that 'if pro's aren't playing them, we shouldn't either'. I meant that the 37s are not very forgiving and I'm assuming (possibly incorrectly) that their lack of forgiveness could be a reason for they're lack of play.

I agree with you whole-heartedly :idhitit: . You should play what you like and feel comfortable with! If it works for you, it doens't really matter if Tiger or anyone else is playing it.

Back to topic:

The 33's and 37's are both phenomenal irons. You really can't go wrong with either. It's really a choice of:

Am I digger?

Would I benefit from a higher ball flight?

Do I need a little more forgiveness?

For me, the answer to all 3 is 'yes'; which is why I play the 33's. Hope that helps a bit....

I own and use both sets, the only difference for me is that the 37's have a flatter trajectory and I like them on windy days over the 33's.

Other than that the 33's are my primary stick's

Anything Mizuno is top notch in my book.

Callaway XR Pro 9* Mitsubishi Fubuki zt 70x tipped .5"
Callaway XR Pro 14* Mitsubishi Fubuki z-fw 85x
Mizuno MP- 33 3-pw KBS-Tour x stepped x 2

Mizuno Bettinardi C-03 Blade @ 33"

Get the facts straight guys..MP 37s have 1* stronger through out the set compare to MP 33s. So in theory it should go little lower but can't tell with your naked eyes.. Comparing 3 irons MP 37= 21*, MP 33= 22*.

Wow, you dig up a 5 year old thread to make a comment like that?

Also: trajectory is not only determined by the loft.

I always read threads on MP-33's. Recently, I bagged a set in good condition. Everything about them feels right, especially after a grip change.

As far as the 37's, I can't handle them. They look great, but I don't have the same sense of balance, AND I CAN'T FIND THE SWEET SPOT! They just don't feel right. I felt the same way about the 67's.

Which is better? For me, and most others, 33's rule!
