no more plastic lined bags...?

I am looking to replace my 7-8 year old Sun Mountain C130. Almost every round that I play is with a Sun Mountain Speed Cart V2. I'm also a bit paranoid about taking care of my gear. It treats me well, I treat it well....

After trying out several bags and looking through everything I can find at local shops, it seems all bags have soft, fabric lined sides instead of the older, molded plastic shells. I am worried about this seems that doesn't seem so impact resistant should something happen. Also, I cannot believe that this is in any way waterproof. Finally - how do you tighten down the clamps of the V2 push cart without indenting the sides of the bag?

Any ideas???

I currently have a V2 push cart also..... I have seen bags made by Powakaddy that are cart bags but seem to be made of the staff bag material. I am currently looking for a waterproof bag also. This bag seems o fit the bill....but it is very scare to find in the US. Check out the website and keep me updated on the availability of this bag. PING makes a bag like this as well, but only available in the UK.....

So without cranking the cradles on the sides of the V2 pushcart, how do you get the bag to stay firmly in place? On my 8-9 year old C130, I have indented the plastic outer shell from tightening.....this is obviously not going to work with the new bags. Also, are they any kind of waterproof?

I really don't tighten mine......I set the brackets tight enough so the bag won't fall, but the bag also slides in and out when taking it on and off the cart......It looks like the Powkaddy bag could be more "waterproof" than other bags. Just my opinion.....
