SRIXON’S JIM FURYK TAKES THIRD PLACE AT WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS-BRIDGESTONE INVIATIONAL

Furyk Gets His 10th Top 10 Finish of the Season with Z-URC Golf Ball

ATLANTA —August 28, 2006

Srixon Staff Professional Jim Furyk came in solo third place at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday, August 27 at Firestone CC in Akron, Ohio. Furyk, armed with the Srixon W-506 driver, I-506 irons, Forged Wedges and the soon to be released Z-URC golf ball, shot a 9-under par, 271 total (69-65-69-68) He currently stands 2nd on the 2006 PGA Tour money list and 3rd in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Furyk, the 2003 U.S. Open Champion, has had a remarkable season since switching to Srixon this year. He has collected 10 Top 10 finishes this year, including a win at the Wachovia Championship, a tie for 2nd place finish at the U.S. Open Championship and a 4th place finish at the British Open Championship. Furyk further solidifies his hold on the number 2 ranking on the 2006 PGA TOUR money list with over $5.1 million for the season and has amassed over $29 million in career earnings—currently ranked 5th all time—and is an 11 time PGA Tour winner.

Furyk earned a spot in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf after finishing on top of the 2006 Major Champions points list. He will compete against the winners of the year’s four major championships.

Also on Sunday, at the Reno-Tahoe Open, Srixon Staff Professional Alex Cejka tied for 9th by shooting a 15-under par, 273 total (67-67-70-69) for his second Top 10 of the year. Cejka played with the Srixon forged irons and the soon to be released Z-URC golf ball.

Srixon Staff Professionals have amassed 30 Top 10s on the PGA TOUR this season including Jim Furyk’s win at the Wachovia Championship and John Rollins’ victory at the B.C. Open.

here is what "Gym フƒ…ーリク, professional" has to say....

sri_pp_bl_zurc_procmt_1.jpg

"It is superior in spin efficiency with the short iron which has been made most important is easy to adjust also the distance impression enormously. Last year the ball of use compared to flying distance extended. "

But I like the description of the ball from "Old free Miho, professional"

sri_pp_bl_zurc_procmt_2.jpg

"Feeling with approach to be soft, trajectory being low, because it is easy to control very, it can make golf of attacking until now above. In case of me, because similar to Z-URS which has been used, also flying distance it appears enormously to last year, it likes very. "

At least that is what a Babel Fish Translation gives me of this page....

Dan,

Is the ZURC the same ball as the ZUR-S (star)?

My contact for balls doesn't send them in their original sleeves. I never have a way of telling if what he is sending are protos or Japan retail. He probably steals them of the range on the JPGA :idhitit:. I probably have had 5 different versions of the TA2lng. He knows I played my best with that ball.

Is the (star) coming to retail?

When I emailed Srixon earlier this year, they said the proto that Furyk was playing was a ball other than the Z-URC.

Srixon said the proto would be released, and most probably the Z-URC but that they were two different golf balls.

Switched over to the ZURC since my local golfshop has run out of the ZURS

overall similar to the S in terms of feel, both are quite soft. Just find the C to be more

durable and probably a few yards longer for me

your shop sells ZURC? i really want to try these, but i had no idea where to get em
