Inexpensive Courses in Sothern Colorado

Next week a friend and I will be in southern Colorado. Do you know of any "deals" on courses from Pueblo south to New Mexico?

Yes, all of them are reasonably priced. You wont pay more than $45 (including cart) even on a weekend anywhere but Grandote Peaks. Four Mile Ranch in Canon City has just lowered their fees and it is a nice course. All three of the Pueblo courses are nice with Desert Hawk being in the best condition.

Not sure what kind of deal you will get but the next time I am out in that area I will not miss the chance to play Cougar Canyon in Trinidad. It is a fairly new Nicklaus track that looks really sweet.

Cougar Canyon is on my list of "to be played" in that area, might also try Walking Stick.

Cougar Canyon has been closed for a while due to financial problems. The new owner says they will reopen but I dont know if that has happened or not.

I live in the springs from 06 to 09. in late 08 they opened a course called 4 mile ranch just west of pueblo Colorado. Great course lots of blind shots, bowled greens and lots and lot of undilating greens. At this time of opening it was rated as top five new courses in America and didn't even have a Club hourse at this time. A group of military guy and I would make the 1 trip south 2 or 3 time a month to play it.

If its like I remember you really don't want to miss out on play this course IMHO.

It will be around 50 buck plus they offer a replay rate.

Just found out that Cougar Canyon may have reopened.

What a shame. Hopefully it will be okay and I will be able to play it one day. I remember being in Denver just last summer and hearing about it. Thought it was gorgeous and just couldn't fit it in before we came home.

This is happening more and more lately, sad...
