These putters will never sell just like the Blue Chip Line. They will sit in Dicks Sporting goods or Sports Authority and Sell for $30 Bucks. Its sad to say no one can compete with Odyssey, Ping, & Scotty Cameron.

 

Everyone else should just come out with some wedges and call it a day.

these arent as bad as the blue chips. these look pretty good. i think to be a truly traditional putter, they need to shy away from inserts.

wow who made you the KING of PUTTER use in the WORLD? man you sure have a crappy attitude. let me know when TITLEIST makes their own putter and markets it as a TITLEIST and not SCOTTY CAMERON. oh that's right ACUSHNET does in their COBRA line and BOY OH BOY i know somebody who has 5 of them. yea that's right 5, yea its the golf shop up the road. they have been sitting since day 1. let me know when they win. NIKE is covering a segment of the mark that TITLEIST is ashamed of, thats why they have a secondary brand, a tier 2 brand without there name. that is a real shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that I am alone in wishing that NIKE would get a line-up that really does their name justice. I don't have any idea what the issue is, besides the fact that Scotty won't sell out his contract. There are a few really good putter designers that could do a great job with NIKE's money behind them. Scotty is a great putter guy, but not the only one on the planet. I wish they would put out a product in the putter market that warranted the NIKE name. Not sure what the hold up is, but when they truly get serious, watch out. With the marketing power, the huge financial backing, and the top players in the world behind them, it will be a major event.

Until then, I agree with some of the posters above in that they are sort of throwing products out there that won't really go anywhere.

Sorry, just my opinion and we all know what those tend to be worth.

really running of this ignite thing, it would be interesting to see nike do a sq or sumo line of putters, extreme moi, that would be cool, but probbaly still not enough for me to buy them

isn't it a little late to start introducing their "ignite" putters now? i mean, if someone is a nike equipment fan, wouldn't they want to have items in the bag that are somewhat homogeneous? nike ignite driver, ball, bag, etc.? the ignite driver is discontinued, isn't it? i don't know, i'm kinda scratching my head on this one.

Nike has actually changed up in marketing strategy a bit by "reintroducing" the Ignite name and has come out w/ an Ignite 450cc driver w/ some form of tungsten plug in the sole to increase launch angle. Will be interesting to see if using Ignite name for a "value" series pays off for them.

I agree with golfluvzme, Nike is committed to making not only hackers sticks, but also good players clubs (ignite 460, ignite T-60, sq tour, blades, pro combo split cavities, even there forged wedges are legit). Imagine if they contracted a top putter maker to make a real players putter (byron, slighter, mills, they should have taken bettinardi before mizuno) with their money I think they could make a top product that would have me taking scotty out of the bag ( I'm starting to think his retail putters are easily bested by mills, byron, and slighter). NIke could really get into the market and make a strong play. Three years ago noone would have said they would be DOMINATING the tour right now. (DOMINATING)!!!!!

The Current OZ line believe it or not sell's. Between The Big "O," ping, and TM, I would say Nike sells at a steady rate. We replenish just as many oz's in the store as say the pings, or TM. With that being said nike is doing a good job at getting decent products out a a good price. The ignite lineup will be strong in 2007 for the average minded golfer =) guys that usually do no frequent GOLFWRX, but actually play golf for fun =).
