We all know that women love their fairway woods. Why is that? Because women are usually slower-swinging and for that long second (or third) shot we need the added power. "Hitting the long fairway shot requires that you launch the ball high enough to keep it airborne for a while, and hit it with enough clubhead speed to create distance.
