Ogio Assasin Bag

I am considering the Ogio Assasin Cart bag and wondering if anyone has one or seen one.

 

My birthday is coming up and I do not need anything else these days.

 

How is Ogio bags on quality of the zippers and such?

I have the Assassin which I use as my cart bag. The first thing you notice is it's light weight. It is probably lighter than most carry bags. There are lots of pockets. I especially like there are lined pockets on each side. I use one side for my glasses, keys, and wallet. The other side to store my Skycaddie. There is also a cooler pocket a long with a space for a water bottle. The diamond opening for your clubs takes a little getting used to but the club easily fall to the bottom when inserted. The slot opening for the putter needs to be a bigger to accommodate putter head covers. There is plastic ring circling the top opening with slots in the back along with the front right and left that is used to lift the bag. The smaller handle that most people look for to lift the bag is in the back of the bag and not really useable. I wish they put their torq cart strap there instead. The shoulder strap is in the front, can get into your way of getting things out of the pockets and not really comfortable for carrying. Overall a vary nice, lightweight cart bag. Because of the light weight, I will have to see how it stands up to long term use.

The bag I am quickly liking more than any other is the TaylorMade Supreme Hybrid 2.0. It has a 14 way divider, a large opening for the putter that will allow a putter with a cover to go all the way down, a cooler pocket, plenty of other pockets, and a comfortable shoulder strap that can be easily removed. It is a nice balance of a carry/stand and cart bag. This is the first TaylorMade bag where I can say they got things right.

I've been using this TM bag for about a year, and it's pretty good, but not great. Still pretty heavy fully loaded and the "14-way divider" doesn't have full-length dividers for every slot, just the 5 horizontal zones. My midsize grips do not fit all that well together down there without a bit of a shake. Also, the bottom does not fit most riding cart wells without having to turn the bag 30 degrees or so. Not a deal-breaker, but kind of annoying. And my final problem is that when it's on a riding cart, the irons are in the back and a lot harder to pull.

But the pockets are great and the legs have never been a problem. I am looking at the assassin, though, as a lighter alternative with similar layout and full-length dividers. Will have to load it up at Roger Dunn to see how best to use that diamond top.

To me, Ogio's quality is top-notch. I"ve used a Ogio Grom bag for at least 5 years now and it still looks good. No tearing, holes, etc.
