I'm speechless at the stupidity and danger there. Truly amazing they were all caught on video. I wonder how many serious injuries were there?

This Video illustrates the type of problems that a public golf course encounters on a daily basis. These are the types of "Morons" that come out on a golf course and:


1. Present a danger to other players.

2. Tear up and destroy the course.

3. Ruin equipment.

4. Obviously cause slow pace of play.

5. Cause courses to have to raise greens fees.

Went out with my fiance's dad the other day, obviously no shenanigans took place, but our cart died on the 18th fairway . . . a par 5 on the side of a mountain. Had to push the sucker all the way back.

About the worst thing i've ever done was "tee up" a gas cart. Worked at the course and would make our end-of-day round of the course in about a quarter of the time.

Hilarious! Sadly, I've seen some of these 'escapades' other places, other people. It isn't funny what they do to the carts, the course and themselves. The great combination of modern man- alcohol and stupidity.

How could they not have any footage of people taking the cart into the drink? When I was a jr. golfer this one adult went on a whole 5 minute rant about how no kids younger than 15 needed to drive the carts during the tourney, etc. I get to our second hole, his first, and lo and behold, who do you think is standing there staring at his cart down in the pond?

 

Same course during a normal round a guy going by in a jeep honks and flips my friend off as we're going to the next hole, so he turns around and flips him off back. Kudos, but unfortunately the yardage sign directly ahead didn't get the memo and refused to move out of my friend's way, resulting in one funny crash with no lasting injuries. Luckily, this was an electric cart so he wasn't really moving all that quickly.

 

 

 

On a serious note, I understand why more and more golf courses are going to low-speed electric carts. There was a woman from here who was out of town visiting her fiance and he took a turn to quickly while she was riding with him, causing her to fall out of the cart and sustain a fatal head injury. I'm surprised some of the people in that vid didn't end up worse off than they were.

Just a complete lack of respect by most. The ones that have their own cart - do whatever you want, but don't tear up other peoples property. Some of those were obviously just accidents, but those that tear them up for a kick out to get a kick where it really hurts. I live on a course (have my own cart) and can't believe some of the things I see. Sad thing is they are actually the superintendents carts, not the courses. People have a warped sense of entitlement.

Yep and those are the same dumb A$$ that are in boats at the lake, scary - one time wakeboarding a DA almost ran my buddy (he is in the water with the wakeboard on) over by like 2 feet - so lame, I had other bright ones run over my rope to, how close do you have to get to do that.

I like when a few of those types come to the mx track with big jumps and break them selfs off, some peoples kids

Worked with a guy in Athens, GA who had his shin bone shoot through his skin after a cart crash. His 20k lawsuit raised the members annual cost.

Sutter Home winery had a golf outing, a girl who had been drinking tried to step out while it was moving and broke her leg. No more golf outings.

That being said, I did stand on the back of a cart once while the driver floored it on an upslope and we pulled a sweet wheely.

Give Darwin enough chances, he WILL get you.

In response to someone that heard of a 6 year old dying...

For a fact, a woman from my hometown died at Hilton Head this year. She was thrown from the cart as her husband/significant other made a sharp turn. I can't say if it was just an accident or if it was a blatantly stupid stunt, if alcohol was involved, I know nothing about it. She died of head trauma on cart path. I think that brings home just how serious these incidents can be. My buddy lives at Savannah, and he heard about it too. I read it on CNN.
