fell apart on me, need a change

Ive had a 4.5 over 2 seasons and close to 100 rounds. I walk 75% of my rounds. I loved the 14 way dividers, but the shoulder strap and the insides of the bag have fallen apart on me. A lot of the abuse came from caddies on a Soctland trip, but still I expected a tougher bag.

Thinking to move on to a Ping Latitude or similar. Now flexible on the 14 way. Thoughts?

Ping Lattitude is not as strong or stable as th SM4.5. The leg collapse and bag fell flat on smooth ground when I place my full 14 clubs in it.

What happened to your SM straps?

My Titleist is about to die. The right strap is about to snap where it goes through the top cuff into the bag. The slot it fits through looks to be in the wrong place compared to where the weight of the strap goes.

This is the second one and my friends' are the same. I have to say its a very bad design.

Just ordered an Adidas Strike stand bag. It looks good but cannot report on that yet.

I would not recommend the ping bags. Friends' Ping bags have all had their retractable straps break and pull out of the bag and if I had £1 for every time the clubs get stuck in the bag and get tangled in the stand and retractable strap mechanism I would be a rich man!

I'm sure that there are horror stories from everywhere

I don't know how big a change you are looking for but how aboutba 2011 Sun Mountain C130 coupled with a Bagboy Quad Cart. I switched to this combo from carrying and love it.

I sold mine after a month or so, very disappointed. Not surprised you are looking elsewhere...wish I could help. Looking myself, good luck OP.

Sun Mountain bags get rave reviews but my experience has not been good either. I recently purchased a Hoofer C-1 to replace a Mizuno Aerolite for no reason other than a change because the Mizuno is still in great shape. The verdict is still out but I highly recommend the Mizuno's with the Kabuki top. Much less club tangle than I am experiencing with the Ping and it held up great. Some of the Aerolite designs have been a little funky lately, however.

I ordered an SM SLX. Why SM again? I don't know. It looked cool and was on sale. I have come to realize there is no perfect stand bag. I would have gone Ping except that I have been going almost all Ping with my clubs and did not want to have a Ping bag too.
