Harding Park

mini golf vacay in the works...

Has anyone played Harding Park? I want to go up and play it one weekend and play it. Let me know what you think, etc. as this is a work in progress. I saw it on the Presidents Cup and think it would be a fun track.

Play it all the time. Great track and they are keeping it in better shape because they are having the Schwab Cup there. People say the out of town rate is high, and I must admit I probably wouldn't pay the full price. If you do make out there, get a pull cart, it's cart path only and you'll end up walking more with a cart.

Learned how to play golf there. Much better shape now than it was back then. A classic tree lined track, plays longer than it really is due to the San Francisco weather. A really nice golf course.

my home course. condition is good. stewart cink says it's the best muni he's played! I agree, out of town rate is steep, $150? but the resident rate is awesome $60.

Great track. Played it many many times before the remodel and a few after it.

It's a bit pricey but one of the better public tracks around the area.

If you willing to shell out for a round in the area then consider also Half Moon Bay Links or even Pasatiempo.

Is It Really Cart Paths Only?

Harding Park is a walking course! people will look at you funny if you take a cart. plus it's cart path only, so it's a pain in the arse. they do have pull cart rental. easy course to walk! walk it.

Wow $60 resident rate!?! Very nice. The course looks really nice from tv and internet. Old school look. Big pro shop? Because if I am going to pay $150 I have to hit up the pro shop too! BTW $150 isnt too bad for a course such as that. Beats paying $175 for Trump down here in LA.

Nice course, but for $150 in the Bay Area you can do a lot better in my opinion. $150 on a weekday is good enough for some of the Monterey courses as well.

But if you're a Northern California resident it's just $99. My favorite course near here at the moment is Peacock Gap in San Rafael. I played Presidio yesterday and it was pretty meh. I love Harding though.

as for the out of town rate, how do they check? only at check in? in theory can I have my SF buddy check in for me so I can play for $60??

[b]You[/b] need to present a resident's card, which you apply for downtown. Some sort of proof is required, like a utility bill in your name.

they will check when you check in and i've also been checked by the starter at the 1st time.

Paid $90 there to walk beginning of summer... no regrets at all. Beautiful golf course, not too difficult, but was a great day all in all. Got to love #18 (killed my good score I had going).
