TPC Boston Member for a Day?

Anyone else playing?

October 3rd 2011... TPC Boston Member for a Day event (just straight golf no best ball or anything) Anyone else playing? Tee sheet is fully booked as I tried adding a 3rd to our twosome. Just wondering if anyone from this forum is going... I'm new here!

Love the DBC and I cannot wait to play here! Love 16, 17 and 18!

Had the pleasure of playing TPC Sawgrass twice in June so I'm looking forward to another TPC experience!

One of my favorite tracks in New England. My boss is a member and I've played it twice. There is a par 3 on the front, can't remember the hole # (think it's 6 or 7) that has this stone wall along the back of the green, hole is like 180yds from the Players Tees, you really feel like you are in Scotland. #18 is a bear of a hole unless you can poke it 300-310 off the tee you can't go for the green in 2, there is trouble in front. I did the 3 shots, pitched it to 15-18 feet and 2 putted for par. I am a mid teen hdcp and I was elated with my 94.

Orange... Great to hear about the course! I've been to the DBC a few times so I know the layout pretty well! Just excited to play it.

I found out about the Member for a Day event when I was at TPC Sawgrass and immediately signed up after my round there!

Found out about it in June when I was at Sawgrass. There is another event in CT. Check out information on TPC.com I belIeve. Can't wait!

I hate to get ur hopes up but in my opinion the course really isnt that great and really not that difficult. I'm sure it would be more than enough challenge if I was able to play from DBC tees but they are all grown in. Ive only played it twice for what thats worth but, there are better courses to play in MA. geoangus ur not missing out on much. I guess it's cool to play a course we get to witness the pros playing. Have fun though

Its a nice course, Iv'e played it, but there are nicer courses in the area. Member for a day going to give you access to the whole clubhouse and stuff? I'd bet you are in for a 6 hour round to with a tee sheet full of one day guest.

I wish I had known about this. I played TPC Boston once and really enjoyed it. Have fun!

Course is one of my favorite in the area. I've been to the tournament about 6 times and just love the layout and almost every hole! Conditions are incredible so I can't wait. We are walking with a caddy. 6 hour round is fine with me as I'm in no hurry to leave. Plus we have a banquet and buffet BBQ after the round.

Just got back from TPC Boston! Fantastic event. Tee sheet was full and the pace of play was 4 hours and 10 min. No waiting! They had forecaddies on every hole to spot balls and give yardage before you got out of cart since it was cart path only. Conditions were out of this world amazing. Mastercard Member for a day fee was $225 but you got a $30 pro shop gift card to use.

Also what was really nice was all food and beverage including alcohol was covered. All cart drinks and food during the round were included and after the round we ate like kings ordering filet mignon, drinks and all no extra charge.

Very much worth it look for the event next year. Incredible course and very playable from the 6500 yard tee.

Orange, the par 3 on the front is #3, with the stonewall. New tee last year that stretched it to 208 I believe. Pros only play that 2 out of the 4 days though.
