Please help me get a descent swing

I have only been playing for about 6 months. (I used to play a lot, but took about 20 years off) I hit with a high loft. I have no idea of where the ball will go. I hit it fairly straight, but sometimes it is 20 yards left, sometimes 20 yards right. Most of the time I pull the ball left. As embarrassing as it is, I am posting a vide of my swing. I do notice a couple of things.

 

1) my hands are MUCH higher on impact than when I start the swing.

2) At the top of my swing, I move the club forward just before starting the downswing.

I assume I need lessons!!!!!!

It's not as bad as you think (okay maybe it is), but you can be helped. You have a basic motion and you can transfer your weight and get it onto your left side (so many can't). Yes, go see a golf pro and get some lessons and you should see some improvement real quick.

a cpl of things i was told when i posted some videos,

hit a ball when you film yourself, as a practice swing doesnt show the whole picture

and like me i lifted my left heel, i have noticed improvement since i forced myself not to lift the heel

and yes a lesson, your pro will pick your swing apart and give you little things to work on to make your swing better, its helped me
