Currently in San Diego trying really hard to put back on the 20 lbs I had lost since June. Lost Abbey/port is on the agenda for today,

Kids in tow, haven't been to stone but we went to the north park belching beaver last visit, only ballast point in little Italy, lost Abbey, and culture in OB this time

First order from Tavour.com showed up today and it was wrong lol. Ordered a 12% barrel aged quad x2 and got a rye porter x2 instead. So my order was 1/3 wrong. Nice first impression.

I forget they do have a good barleywine, that's about it.. They lost me with their restaurant food... Ballast Point has a pork belly that will make you slap yo momma!

The part of my Tavour shipment that was actually correct. Really really good non barrel aged stout, impressive stuff and one I would not have been able to get my hands on in AZ

 

They did get back to me today and are sending the right beers to me via fed ex and told me to keep the two porters they sent incorrectly. So service is pretty good, although still not sure how they messed up the order in the first place since the packing slip had the right beers listed.

He has not been on wrx for over a month now and we both had a real bad run in our personal lives while we were working on that trade. I last heard from him when we finalized the trade 07/19. I shipped him a box that UPS destroyed 8 miles from the pickup and offered to compensate him for any special brews he purchased just for me since all of the ones I sent him were destroyed. Never heard back and he has not logged on since. We were both had so much bad stuff going on we joked about the trade being cursed, now im a bit paranoid and I hope nothing worse happened. if anyone hears from him please drop me a line.

I truly believe evil twin can do no wrong. Everyone of their beers is amazing. Love the story behind the brewery too

Tried this last night. It was good but I liked Hennepin better.

 

Was at that brewery two weekends ago for a concert. Rare vos is still my go to, but I was able to try a fest beer that I haven't seen bottled yet that was very very good

Living in California has made me spoiled. Easy access to Russian river, stone, firestone, ballast point, bruery. I am very jealous of you Midwesterners with access to 3 floyds, founders and goose island bcbs!
