The standard lofts are 2* weak on the Nike forged blades, putting the PW at 49*. I know that Tiger has his bent 1* upright, but I believe the lofts are the Nike standard.

tiger plays weaker lofts. the pw is 50*-51*. there was a discussion on it just a few weeks ago.

Depends upon the COG of the club in question. Higher COG will sometimes work with stronger lofts and lower COG will work with weaker lofts...

i think you have that backwards, low COG, stronger loft (ala taylormade r7 irons), and a high COG, weaker loft (ala nike forged blades).

If its s400 it will dictate that on the shaft label. I think untill this year nike standard stiff irons were TX 90 shafts, but I cant remember if that was just the combos or not.

J.

Nike Blade shafts: Regular = DGR300, Stiff = DGS400, XStiff = DGX100

Pro Combo = TX90

NDS = Uniflex, like Callaway Uniflex

Not quite correct...

PC came out in 2002. TX90 was stock then. In 2003, Nike moved to using the S300 and Rifle 6.0 as stock.

PC Tour came with R300, S300, X100. PC OS comes with TX90 as stock

MBs were using S400 and X100 from beginning. Problem for the MB was that Nike never really said that they used S400, so the assumption was it was S300 and that caused plenty of confusion for retail sales people...

Correct, just got thru with a Variance report for the division I support when I wrote that...brain was scrambled...sorry if I confused someone...

Tiger's iron specs are from the set of Mizzy MP 29s he was playing 10 years ago. He has not changed. His Titleist irons were essentially Mizzys. His Nike irons are essentially Titleist which, again, were essentially Mizzys.

Driver:  TaylorMade 300 Mini 11.5° (10.2°), Fujikura Ventus Blue 5S Velocore

3W:  TaylorMade M4 15°, Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7S

Irons:  Mizuno Pro 223 4-PW, Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 stiff

GW / SW: Mizuno T-22, 52° (bent to 50°)/ 56° (bent to 54°), True Temper S400

Tigers PW is 52*.

100% SURE!

That is why he only carries a 56* SW and a 60* Lob wedge. (Makes SENSE HUH!)

This way he has even gaps, like all tour pro's! (4* between weges gives him equal distance gaps)

As many other stated, he has the same lofts as he did as a kid with his old mizuno blades.

1 club weaker than normal standards which is why he has no need for a GAP WEDGE.

That is what is so stinkin freakish. I am about 1 club, maybe 1 1/2 clubs, shorter than Tiger. The freakish thing is that I play modern lofts. Therefore, I am about 2 to 2 1/2 clubs shorter than Tiger. I am sure most of Tiger's peers are playing irons with modern lofts as well. Tiger is so unbelievable.

What can we say, he's TIGER.

Therefore, if he's PW is 52* and has 4* between each irons. His 2 iron's loft should be same as our 3 iron's loft???

The retail nike blade's PW loft is 49*, if I wore to make the loft 1* or 2* stronger, will it mess with the bounce too much???

I know that for every 1* of loft change, is equal to 1* of bounce, just wondering if that will mess with the leading edge.

Also what is the retail swing weight of these irons???

The players lofts' are all going to be different. Different players with different swings. Some like them weak, some strong. It also depends a lot on the type of club. I have seen PW's from 46* to 52* depending on the player and type of club and ball flight wanted. The standard loft's for Nike's blades are on the website. The standard swing weight depends on the shaft choice and is btween D2 and D4. The tour issue Endo forgings do have a high COG and are soft so they have to be bent often. I have to have mine bent about every 2 weeks to keep the loft and lie angles correct. As for Tiger's specs, it is widely known around the Nike Tour shop and Tour Van, they won't tell, so don't ask.

yes, your 3 iron just about equals tigers 2 iron. his irons are like 2-3* weaker than my 695s. its crazy

as for the bending lofts and bounce angles, for each degree you make a club STRONGER you take OFF approx 1* of bounce, and same goes for making a club 1* weaker (ex 48* to 49*) the bounce would increase approx 1* (8* to 9*)

hope this helps.
