Golflogix - iphone4

Can you switch apps? Help

Sorry, I tried to search for this and couldn't find it. I started with GolfLogix today and liked it, but I noticed that any time the iphone4 goes into sleep mode or if you check a text msg, or switch to any other app, you have log back in, find your course, etc. It was pretty tough. Is there a way to keep it running in the background?

I just tested the free version of Golflogix and didn't have to log in again after leaving the app to go to another app. I was offered the option to continue the round or to end it. You might try deleting the app from your phone and re-installing it to see if that helps.

As an alternative, give a look to Golfshot if you're going to pay for an app. There are no subscription fees and I know from using it that you can exit the program during a round and when you come back to it you will be in exactly the same place you were when you left.

Thanks, erasing it and reloading it did the trick. Or maybe I set it up differently the second time, not sure. But much better when it doesn't relaunch every time.

I got sick of this app and just finally bought a rangefinder. It would drain my battery, and it would take too long to catch up yardage wise of you ride. I would hit a ball based on the first distance, then look down and we that it was 5-7 yards off from the previous distance given. It's an ok app, but nothing compared to a point and shoot laser.

I was using GolfLogix on my Iphone 3g before moving to Droid. They just added a feature (that I hope they put on the Droid soon) where you can tap refresh GPS on the screen and it updates the yardage. Fixed that slow update issue.

As for battery, Pop it and Lock it! Pop the ball, lock the screen!
