tourstage 905 mb blades

just bought a set of the latest (2011) tourstage blades a cpl of weeks ago.
shafted with NS 950 s
the looks are stunning simplicity , uber thin, 

i took them out a cpl ofweeks ago for a test run , and whilst the NS pro is suited nicely in the 4-5-6 irons. i found them a little bit theatrical in the scoring end irons.

i swapped out the shafts to monacco stiff, and got a pretty light swing weight at D0.


the look at address is a bit differnt from the prevous x blade (05) and 901 (09) models they are a bit squarer , these ones are more rounded( esp against the 901.) thru the toe, noticeable especially in the pw
the off set is virtually non existant , tiny thin sole i mean preposterously thin.

not sure how they can possibly improve this model next time.
im sure they will find a way.

How do these compare with the X-Blade 901?

i got them all out last night had a good look at them all in all positions.
the xbalde are the roundest and most compact.
the 901 are the longest and thinest
and the 905 are kinda in between
the biggest performance differnce somes in the placement on the muscle. the 905 have concentrated the weight in and around dead centre with the v shape lending a bit more forgiveness to not dead centred shots
hey . dont get me wrong here.., forgivenness doenst mean forgivness!
the x blade are a more all round softer looking head. and the 901 are very kinda "direct cente only pls."
to hit they feel pretty much the same, but most def i get a punchier feel with the new ones

Nice blade there.... how's this compare to Yamaha?

yamaha tours...,are a lot thicker and a muscle cavity so over all its a lot softer feeling.
the yamaha tho is quite an very aggressive looking head at address,
i like the look at address of the yamahas better than anything except maybe the yonex ezone blade.
esp the 2006 2008 and 2011 yamaha models.
the yamahs are such a good head not soggy soft. but not too clicky either , they are softer to hit than the TS

right.. its not he top line u need to be concerned with
its the face progression

the yonex LOOK like there is a lot , there actually isnt.they have a goose neck style to them but are dead straight in reality, therss no real offset really.
it looks like there is but there isnt.
persoanlly ilove this look.

others hate it.

interms of quality
forget it they are both mustard.
its the look u need to agree on topl ine is almsot identical
overll size the yonex a smidge bigger

What steel were 905? And who forged them?

I accidentally bought a set on rakuten the other night and they're en route to me now. Tried googling some info but only found press release on Bridgestone's site that gives specs, but only "soft iron" for material. Assembled in Japan, which sounds like they might have been forged somewhere else?
