Appearance: From address this putter sets up very nicely. It is easy to square the putter at address thanks to the long sightline on the flange. The long "t ish" sightline makes it very easy for me to alight it with my ball because i use a line. The center shaft makes it have a very stable look and feel when you stoke this putter. The head does not twist in the stroke or at impact.

 

Feel: This putter has one of the softest feels of any putter I have ever used, yet you could tell when you hit it really solid. It had the perfect feel.

 

Playability: The ground down leading edge makes it very easy to hit a solid put and makes it very playable from the fringe, and when you are up against the collar of the green. This is a relativly forgiving putter, even on off center hits it still goes close to the right distance and doesnt go of line that much.

 

 

 

Overall: This is a great putter, it sets up beautify, has a great feel and sound when struck solid, and is very accurate. Thanks so much to Serge for making it to the exact specs I wanted, and letting me have the opportunity to test this fine putter.

Solid looking putter. I've always liked center shafted blades and that one looks pure.

 

BTW, whats up with your sig? If i remember correctly you have some pretty nice sticks.

Sorry, center shafted & face balanced only. I have very small mill (manual and CNC, desktop), so don't have the capacity to mill large blocks into 1 piecers. I also like to use aluminum (MOI) or brass (blade) instead of steel, so no welding either. I'm a one man operation; through design, milling, stamping, finishing and assembly. I need to keep this fairly simple, at least to start. Getting into hosel configurations, offsets etc... will have to wait.

 

Also, all the putters you see are testers (free). I'm not ready to go into business yet. I have another design coming that will need testing, an aluminum MOI putter that may or may not have adjustable weights (both drawn up in CAD). Shoot me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send you some CAD views, and you can tell me what you think. Maybe you can be a tester.

I'm using a program called Solid Edge (version 16), much more advanced than Autocad. Solid Edge works on the principal of "solids" where the program sees what you're drawing as a solid piece. You can chop pieces off, drill holes into it etc... You can also go back and edit an operation, and the others will be unaffected. I start with an idea in my head or simple sketch, then refine it in CAD to get the weight distribution and look just right.

 

Solid Edge

 

AutoCad is a program where you draw the outside of the object in wireframe and have to "render" it. Drawing simple shapes is OK, but blended radii and complex curves are an absolute nightmare. And changing things afterwards is all but impossible. It was primarily designed as an architecture/city planning type program, not for drawing parts. I haven't used it in awhile, so it may have evolved without me knowing. But Solid Edge is so powerful and easy to use I frankly don't even look at other CAD programs.

 

The current front-runner among CAD programs in the engineering/machining world seems to be Solid Works. It is very similar to Solid Edge, but the assembly component (where you bring part drawings together in an assembly drawing) is more versatile and faster to use. As putters aren't complex assemblies, this doesn't matter to me.
