Golf near Vineland, NJ

Could be anything along 295 between Trenton-Vineland

Going to a wedding this weekend in Bridgeton, NJ. Staying in Vineland. Looks like I have a window to play Saturday around 11 am. Centerton appears to be the closest to the hotel but don't know much about it other than I think they used to host a state HS golf sectional there. I'll have to drive up/back to Bordentown that morning, so really anything along 295 would be OK. Looks like Scotland Run might fit the bill. It's been years since I played there but I remember liking it. Anyone been there lately? If Centerton is 45 and Scotland Run is 90, if I just want a quick round of golf, not somethign super special, is it worth it, or is Centerton a dog track? Another I see is Ramblewood, but again, I know nothing about it. Any others I'm missing?

Advice from anyone down there would be appreciated.

I played Centerton early last year. The greens were by far the worst I have ever seen, even worse than most fairways. I am not exaggerating.

Scotland Run is a good track.

I ended up playing Centerton on Saturday. It wasn't bad, especially not for $39 including a cart on a weekend morning. The greens weren't fast and had too much grain, so they were pretty difficult to putt. There are some cool holes on the front 9 and the greens would really be fun and interesting if they ever got them rolling a bit. I ended up quitting after 9. I'd been paired on the tee sheet with a group, but then cancelled and it was a ghost town. I figured I'd just play two balls to keep myself sane behind the foursomes up ahead. But by the third hole a single came racing up behind me, and we ended up playing together. No problem, but I had to get to that wedding, and the pace slammed to a halt, so the thought of a beer and the hockey game on TV was more appealing than nine more holes on shaggy greens at a mind numbing pace.

I'd actually give Centerton another shot if I were down there and wanted to kill time, especially if I got word that the course was in better shape. Definitely in a different league than Scotland Run though (but it should be, at half the price).
