Out of curiosity, what are the effects of using that much lead tape on his 9 iron? Does it increase the sweet spot? Reduce dispersion on off center hits? Make the club look ugly as sh*t? Add/reduce distance? Alter the flight of the ball?

Unless he has recently changed, the Driver and fairways aren't quite correct. He uses a 8.5 driver and shaft is a 73X, not 63. The loft on the Burner 3 wood is 14.5 and it has an 83X shaft, not 63.

Other interesting fact is around his putter. He has in interesting bend on the shaft that creates the toe to sit higher when checking for face balance. He's had this on his last few Scotty's.

Sometimes with enough weight it can also slightly change shaft feel...but I suspect it for swingweight on his clubs....maybe he has done this most of his career and he is superstitious!

Sometimes with enough weight it can also slightly change shaft feel...but I suspect it for swingweight on his clubs....maybe he has done this most of his career and he is superstitious!

On Inside the PGA Tour, he has his whole basement setup like a tour van. He constantly checks his loft, lie and swing weight... D3 or D4.

Scott has oversized grips on his clubs and likes them to swingweight out at about D5 so he has to add the lead tape to counterbalance the extra weight of the oversized grips at the butt end
