I am getting ready to order a TMAG Staff Bag with my club's logo embroidered. Is there a new model for next year I should wait for?

I would wait. all the other companies are coming out with new bags so TMAG might have something new. with bag are you getting?

i just ebayed a TM tp 2 mini staff bag...looks perty cool.not as bulky with a 8 1/2 inch top. check it on TMs site...theres alot of cool TM major bags floatin around to,masters,british and us open...the masters one is t**** with the lime green.

Regardless of the bag you choose, my only advice is to purchase an extra blank zip off panel, just in case you decide to sell the bag later. I have the special edition TP staff bag, and TMAG told me that those panels are no longer available and that they are slightly different from bag to bag. I haven't tried a panel from another similar bag.

 

Perhaps you don't plan on selling it now, but you never know. I certainly wish I had an extra special edition panel.

tpariff's right...I almost bought a TM R7 staff bag, but the guy had his name on it and I wasn't sure I could get it taken off or get a replacement panel. He's still got it, by the way...

 

Email [email protected] and ask them about the bags...that's who's handling them now.

I would be supries to TM with a new staff bag for next season as they like other companies seem to change their staff bags on a 2 year basis, the current bag that was released at the begining of the year; i would think that a new bag would be released for the 2008 season,

Here's the scoop. I get TM staff bags for every major and for each year, including special editions, so this is from experience.

 

TM will have another new staff bag for '08. The way to do it is order a bag from TM, or where ever, and then zip the panel off and take it to an embroideror for finishing. The tricky part is that MOST of the time TM will tell you that they don't sell the panels separately. Also, the panels from bag to bag ('06 to '07....or Special Edition TP to '06) DO NOT FIT. Don't think you can have one panel done and use it from year to year. They change the zipper size if you can believe that so the panels can not be interchanged year after year. The panel will fit on the special edition majors bags during that same year but that's it.

 

Kinda sucks but that's the way it is. No different than the cell phone manufacturers changing the charger prongs from phone to phone so you have to buy all new accessories whenever you get a new phone.
