What can you tell me about this shaft? Harrison Pro 2.5 FL Lite X6200

I have been looking at obtaining a cheap low spin back up driver to try to get back to playing the low runner I used to play with my driver all the time. I love my FT Tour so I really don't want to mess with it right now, just try the lower flight driver. Since I am keeping it cheap I looked at some older models, one being the 983K. I saw one online with this shaft but I don't know what it's characteristics are. I found some stuff online ranging from low launch and spin to mid low to high/high.

Anyone use one many moons ago?

I used the Pro 2.5 Ultra Lite and the 2.5 Tour years ago and loved them (both heavier models similiar to the FL). I believe Jason Zubek won a long drive championship or 2 with the FL. 60ish gram shaft that would probably launch low and spin but not nearly as smooth as today's shafts. This was around the time of the Original ProLite and I thought this shaft was softer, lower lauch and tighter dispertion. Keep in mind these do not say the flex unless you look under the grip. This was a very underrated shaft in my opinion.

yeah I knew about the flex being under the grip. So low launch low spin is correct? How did it play stiffness wise, firm of flex, soft?

As you may know flex is very dependent on tipping with Harrison. They had a F/S (Firm/ Stiff), A/R (not sure what the A was/ Regular), also had a S/X (Stiff/ Extra stiff). You tipped to flex and sometimes a significant amount (2 inches). I found a F/S tipped 1 inch played softer than the Prolite Stiff so to me that is true to flex. I believe I had a F/S tipped one inch in the 2.5 Tour that CPM'd at 268. I'm pretty sure the Prolite S used to Cycle higher than that.

<p>I had a couple of these years ago in a Ping T Isi- 7 degree.  Never hit them on a monitor but the ball flight appeared low spin- no ballooning, but this might have been due to the clubhead.  Both shafts eventually broke just above the hosel.  </p>

I had a few of these in Ping TISI heads when I got into long drive competitions 10 plus years ago. They were advertised as low launch/low spin, but I always felt they were more mid/mid. Again, that could be the clubhead as well.

Would love to see someone throw this in a modern head (G20?) and give it a whirl...
