1st round with classics! So much fun!

I have just had my first round with Hogan PC5's 3-PW and Hogan speedslot 1&3 woods. All I can say is so much fun, the woods sound beautiful and the irons feel so sweet, I actually felt like they were more forgiving than my mp53's. I can't wait to see what other finds I can get to go with them, I would love a 1 of 2 iron to round out the set.

I may have the name wrong! Looking on the picture with all the Hogan irons (Hogan iron timeline) on they are from 1966, called pc5. They are one in from the right, top line. I'm in love with them now! NOT ALLOWED

PC stands for Percussion Centre .... Nice irons!

Thanks for letting me know. I have refilled in all the paint, and regripped them, it was a fun little project. I just wish there was somewhere like Theironfactory here in the UK to do them real justice!

Here's my set of 1967 Percussion Centers ... or PC7s ... difference to PC5 is that the PC7 has 2.5 inch hosel length and PC5 has 3 inch.

The set is 2 to Equaliser and they are in great condition, original grips a little shiny but just about playable. All the same serial number, ferrules all good apart from colour bands missing on 6 and E. Shaft bands all there – (True Temper Ben Hogan R), no dings, no chrome loss, a very few specs of rust that can be removed quite easily, a fair amount of paint fill left for 45 year old irons.

These are the same age as me, and I quite like the idea of playing some irons that were from my birth year. I like to think I have aged as well as this set – lol.

I bought them for £63 on US eBay .... and then unfortunately another £80 in shipping and customs to get them into the UK.

@BantamBennie - where did you get your set, and where do you play in the UK ?

I got then from ebay UK, for just £40, which I was pretty happy with. I play at Staddon Heights, on cliffs overlooking Plymouth. It's always windy up there, but great views of Devon and Cornwall.

Looks like you're both a sand iron short of a full set. I thought I had one but turns out it's the IPT model. Super long hosel in this one too.
