Original Gun Blue Napa

I have a brand new, sealed original gun blue Napa. Grip still in plastic. Never been hit. I know this is rare nowadays, but can someone give me an estimate on how much its worth??? I was toying around with sending it in to get PP, but I might hold off until I find out how much its worth.

It's hard to say on value, but I'd gueatimate on value to be between 550-700 since it's still NIP. Just my thoughts. Putter pricing is so weird these days. LOL

Don't know the value, you never really now, but sell this one (since it's mint) buy an old Napa beater and have that one pimped at the studio.

Napas are going for premium prices these days, let alone a pristine original NIP. If you are a member of TCC.com I would inquire there as well. I would not accept less than $600 for this putter. Of course, you could trade me straight up for a Studio Design 2 with Oil Can finish done by BOS. :drinks: Ok, I wouldn't do it either. Great putter!!!

I am a member at TCC.com, however, I have not met the posting requirements to post on the for sale forum. If someone we're to help me sell this putter, I would reward them with a free dozen pro v1 or other ball of their choice. =)

Very Nice Putter! Will sell easily on ebay. I would guess Mid 400's to 500.00 as it is refinished. If it were new In Plastic not refinished 600.00 to 650.00

 

Why would this not be considered all original?

The millmarks are broad and wide like the modern refinishes. Unlike the ones we sold new back in 1995 with the fine milling.

Finish is very glossy,engraving washed out slightly.

The Shaftband should be a White or Black and Gold Microbell- not the oil can shaftband as that one is.

Plus the Cover should be the Script Titleist not the 1999 on up AOP Cover. Thanks !

Interesting observations, however, this putter was bought on January 4, 1996 and has never left my possession...And I have the receipt to prove it...

Are there Mill Marks on the trailing edge? or back of the topline. A collector may be a stickler for it to have the incorrect Cover,one that came out in 1998.

That cover is not the cover that came with the putter when I bought it...And if you read above, I am including a brand new scotty cameron custom shop orange cover with the putter at no extra cost

It is a nice Putter. It is just odd to have the Cover (which can be replaced) and Shaftband on the putter- that did not come out until 1998.

The Shaftband with the crown was introduced in 1998 with the Oil Can Series- But as also used on Tei3 Putters as well.

 

Some people who are picky will notice this, and it will effect the price.

The pictures are the same and the price was a good one. I have discussed this putter with others and the conclusion is that the putter is restored. The putter looks nice but I am in agreement that the shaft band is not original. This leads one to believe the shaft is not original or the putter has been restored with new shaft band. Also, the pictures are the exact same as the one from the Ebay add.

 

If this putter was indeed just purchased from Ebay, passing it off as being owned for the past 10 years is not a good idea.

First : I'm not a real crack a this, but if you want to know for sure : post it on TCC (i'm DJ over there)

 

When I first saw your putter I noticed the the shaftband and went to scottycameron.com and found out that the one on your shaft was issued from 98 on Oil cans, no problem but when you're selling it as an 11 year old virgin this needs a little explanation.

 

When it's a 96 model there should have been a micro bell shaftband on it, it's also strange that you don't have the original headcover anymore.

 

You can still sell it for a fine price, but collector-wise you need to explain the gaps.

 

Why don't put it on TCC, since your a member there and let the cracks break their heads over this one.

 

I'm also on TCC (DJ) and the reason i did some digging is because I have an 95 Napa myself (from Green putters) with this shaftband and I was wondering what went wrong.

690 MB That white Diamond shaftband is the first of the Shaftbands on the Titleist Camerons. I believe towards late 1995 They changed to the Black and Gold Microstep/bell shaftbands. Correct for the Vingate you have. Pretty hard to find these days too.

I am going to lock up this topic until Jason can either PM myself or another of the Marshalls the real truth about this putter. I also would like to see some new original pictures of the putter that Jason is advertising for sale to end any confusion. Clearly if this is/was a NEW NAPA then the value and scarcity of it would command a premium, if in fact it is a restoration then well we have a situation... I will leave it at that :fool:
