tour 18 is course made up of replica holes from famous american golf courses. the course plays through a rich community with houses only a few holes, well out of play. there is water on a few holes and elevation changes. they have holes from cherry hills #1 (1st hole), baltursol #8 (2nd), doral #18 (3rd), crooked stick #15 (4th), winged foot #10 (5th), medinah #10 (6th), harbour town #18 (7th - is not labeled as harbour town any more because of a lawsuit, but you will recognize it), oakland hills #16 (8th), tpc sawgrass #17 (9th), oakmont #3 (10th), southern hills #12 (11th), riveria #6 (12th), pine valley #17 (13th), firestone #16 (14th), muirfield village #17 (15th), augusta #11-#13 (16th - 18th). it makes for a fun round, and gives you an idea of playing the hole as you watched tiger or phil or ernie that year at a major at that course.

its not all great unfortunately. the greens are tempermental. they recently replaced all the greens to a bermuda, but 2 monthes after re-opening you can still see the pieces of sod as they were laid out. i think they might reopened a little soon and with the dry year we had, hasn't helped any. also, over the past year, every time i am out there they seem to always be working on the bunkers. in my recent trip this past weekend they were having cart problems. with a 8:30 tee my cart barely survived the front nine, and when i went for my second 18 i had to replace my second cart. the group two in front of me had both of there carts die on their front 9. unfortunately, this is sub par to me for a course that is over $80 a round.

with that said, i recommend it for everyone to give it a try at least once, but don't recomend it as a weekly trip. coupons can be found on www.golfq.com to save some money.

Played it two summers ago and really liked it. I did like the one in Myrtle beach better (World Tour Int)

I've heard they are in the fight of their life over water with the city of Flower Mound.

Well, we all will be here very soon in Texas if what I've heard becomes reality.

The rumor is that the state of Texas is going to claim all water belongs to them. Therefore, you will receive a meter on your own personal well that you paid to have installed and you will owe the state for your water usage. I have no idea if this is true, but I have heard this rumor from different two sources. A golf course uses a tremendous amount of water. I know when I was in Las Vegas, we started our budget with $1m for water, now that figure is $1.45m! And we didn't go to the expense of digging wells.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this course right now the greens are still in terrible shape. I played out there about a week ago and it is no better than your local muni and they are still charging close to $100 to play it.

agree with above. played there last week and the conditions are average. i had a coupon, so it was reasonably priced - but it's not more than a $40-$50 course right now.
