Rookie to watch and/or comeback in '07

With the season almost underway, who will be the Rookie to watch this year? Who will be the the comeback player to watch this year?

I like Michael Sim to be the first off that list with a top 5 finish and a guy to make the most noise this year.

 

I gotta root for Jimmy Rutledge though the journeyman Canuck!!

I would like to see Jim do well too. I also think Brandt and Gavin will do well next year.

Keep in mind that this in only the list from the Nationwide promotions....

 

I figured that Ernie would be a popular vote for comeback player...it's hard to not expect a guy with so much talent and liked by so many fans to not have a breakout year.

 

As an Oregonian, I am obligated to vote for Jeff Quinney. I also followed Boo Weekly at the Oregon Open for one round this year and could not believe his ball striking. He made the game look so easy, and seemed like a good guy.

 

Here's another question: is Sergio going to breakout this year? I know he is a good player and I have nothing against him, but I don't think he has played to his potential yet on the PGA tour.

i got to caddy a few holes for johnson wagner in the pro-am in the arnold plamer invitational and all i can say is that he is a very talented golfer that will be a player to watch in the next few years.

Boo Weekley is going to win a lot of tournaments in his career. He played very well in The Open (68 72 75 73) and the week before at the Scotish Open (68 66 74 71). Both were inside the top 35 finishers which is pretty good when you have never been out of the US much less played in Scotland and Ireland where it blows 30mph and they call it a "breeze". He does not seem to be phased by being in the spotlight and he is very comfortable in his own skin so to speak.

How about Andres Romero? Can't doubt is performance in the British and winning the tournament after that.. If you're sticking w/ this list, then Boo Weekley, he seems the most consistent and in contention alot.
