i was on youtube looking at slow motion driver swings of pros like A.K. and Camilo when this showed up on the right. I clicked on it and was seriously like wtf. This is a comment on the video that something interpreted the video to say lol

"1) make your club heavier (probably not illegal) 2) Take a crappy stance 3) Set the ball up as high as you can 4) set your club so it isn't close to the ball 5) Take a back swing as if you were chipping and 6) swing like a baseball player. got it"-RacerDude78

I don't know, The video is pretty good. They brought the high 5 back EARLY on in the video. That's something we should all work towards. More high fives, more hammer drills. Simple

EDIT unfortunately, I had only gotten about a minute into the video when typing my post concerning it. I suddenly realized there was something wrong with my computer speakers! Then, i scrolled back up and saw that the god awful, the mayans were off by 9 days, the rapture is upon us noise i was hearing was the sound effects this guy used for impact. Apparently intentionally which i don't understand. I would rather watch Jack Ham hit 80 yard hooks he represents as good with all of his slow motion pow noises.

Further, this video still doesn't beat the ones from the guy who was trying to do a video on how to grip a golf club and failed to successfully grip a golf club......twice. You know they guy with the yellow shirt and the superman belt buckle. Now that was solid information right there.

I dunno, if you overuse it you dilute the meaning of the elevated hand slap.

So there's that.

This is just by far the worst instruction ever, teaching you to hit a shot where you let go of your club will greatly benifit a swing, oh wait thats bs(just like the entire vid) no it wont lol
Shouldnt you be watching vids on the ballflight laws?

Your other thread about shaping shots. You should watch some vids on the "new ballflight laws" instead of camillo.

Not trying to be an a$$ but if you're putting up videos of you teaching, you really should learn the ball flight laws. The ball starts pretty much where the club is aiming, the difference between face and path causes curvature so when you put that a fade is hit with an open face to the target, you would be teaching people to hit fades that start right of the target, not a good thing from a teacher. You may think PingGuy is being a ***** but his words are very true, you should learn before you try to teach. I'm no professional teacher but I have learned along time ago that having the best of intentions does not make you good at something.

Stalker? No. I'm just on the forums too much.

Just thought it was ironic you say the guys teaching will wreck swings worldwide and you're kinda in the same boat if you teach people how to work the ball without knowing the ballflight laws. I guess your immune from learning though. Sorry if I offended you. Wasn't my intent.

I look forward to seeing these teaching vids of yours. I'm always ready to learn something new.

Typical laughing at what is not understood. A guaranteed recipe for remaining ignorant.

First of all PGA Tour players do strengthening exercises. The Great Harvey Penick sent weed whacking sickles to tour players to swing before a tournament. I think it was Tom Kite and?

I have a set of irons that I added 2 ounces of lead to and like the man in the video I added lead to my woods and drivers. For tall/big strong players swinging "standard" clubs is like swinging a flyswatter. The swing weight of my irons are way off the scale. I add a 2-3ounce scale counter weight just to register a reading to match them. There is no question that weight applied to an object has an influence. That is why you no longer see 200 pound lineman in football (like the 1960's)

The only thing I question is the claim of 300 yards. Possible but ? It is easy to over estimate at the range. His swing is not terrible and we can see in the video that the ball takes off straight. The follow through is not textbook but the ball is long gone by that time.

The ABC's. Either a show off or was reading them = entertainment value
the swing is awful, its understood by anyone whos an avid follower of the sport/player that they use heavier clubs. Just listen to the logic. In the video the ball takes off straight up in the air, hes aiming 30 yards right, and the ball is teed up 2 inches above the crown. None of that is smart

Back on topic. He's setup so far right with the ball teed up to have a maximum amount of upswing and dynamic loft; great way to take spin off the ball. When your baseline is preset that far right of the target you can hit some crazy high push draws/hooks (face open to the target; but also closed to the baseline. Its called having a big cone/being too CF). If you setup that way it makes the swing look different from a down the line view.

Only thing that is crazy is taking the hand off the club. I can hit that shot with both hands on it. Starts 30 yards right and moves 40-50 yards left to right with crazy low spin. I only get it to mid height though.

i appreciate your bs, but ive been playing since i was five, live sleep and breath golf, and ball you really need to listen to yourself. REREAD WHAT PEOPLE SAY SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. I AGREE WITH ALL OF THAT, for the TENTH time i never said i didnt, you guys just have put me through the wall pissed off. If you really want to thread jump, ill do it to, here so if you dont know where your ball starts has to do with face angle, lie angle, and club path. YOU really should learn what your talking about before you try to act like you know it all.
