JDM wedges versus Vokey and Mizuno

So, I want to try a JDM wedge set and since no where to demo I have to order blind. I currently play tvd Vokeys and have played mpr12. I like the tvd around the green but not on full shots. Looking for overall opinion on full shots versus around the green, bunkers, feel and spin? I'm interested in Yururi raw, Miura k and C or Fourteen? Has anyone tried all these and opinions on above? I've played both the TVDs and the Mizunos (owned the MPT11 and demo'd the 12's) and I currently own the Miuras - Y, K, C grinds.

I'm not a fan of the full shots for either the TVDs or the Mizunos. The TVDs were awesome for me around the greens and half shots but I never liked the feel - they did perform around the greens. The Mizunos for me felt much better on full and half shots but never performed for me - not sure if it was the spinners I had in them. From a spin perspective the TVDs didnt spin alot for me but they were predicatable. The Mizunos spun more and sometimes I would spin em back way too much and that would kill a good shot.

The Miuras in comparison for me are a real good all around performer. Both full and half shots feel good, I get predictable spin, the spin is right between the TVDs and Mizunos. Half shots feel good and perform, the full shots are a good progression from my irons (I play the 825 pros now but gamed the MP 59s all last year), I don't lose the feel I get from my irons sets going to the Miuras - I did lose the feel when I had the TVDs. The full shots are what the difference is in my game, I feel very confident and comfortable hitting my 51, 56 and 60 at their full yardages. I know what they are going to do for me - distance, spin and dispersion.

Thanks great info. How is K on full shots? For me I never made clean contact on full shots with tvd.

My K on full shots is equally phenomenal as out of the sand or rough. It's a great versatile club. My 59C is an even better all around club!

I've had both the Miura C and Y wedges, Vokeys, Cleveland's, Epons, etc. I liked the Miuras well enough, but they weren't mind blowing for me. I got some Yururi raw wedges though this fall and they've been fantastic. My wedge play has never been better. They just seem to be able to do it all. And feel and spin great all at the same time. For the money they're going to be pretty hard to beat. The newer Geotech wedges with the concave sole look great for less than $100 each too.

Someday I'd like to get some Toyoshimas or custom ground Golds Factory wedges but I've blown enough on golf gear in the past 6 months to last me...maybe Til the snow melts.

The Yururi raw and tour wedges are players wedges. By that I mean they aren't point and shoot, they are made for "players" that know
how to play a wedge. If you can make a wedge sing, these sing Opera. Outstanding.

The Vokey forged that are Japan models are very good on full shots and feel excellent. This comes from someone
that is not a vokey fan.

I'm not much a Muira fan but check out my sig. for what is working very very well for me right now.
