Headcover Rack

DIY job by me

I just recently started collecting Cameron headcovers, just another phase I'm in with the golf stuff. So, I wanted a way to display my small but hopefully soon to grow collection of not only headcovers out of bags, but also in bags. So I didn't want to spend $400 on the real thing when it doesn't even do covers in bags anyway. So, I made my own that can hold 5 out of bags, and 6 in bags. I figure I'll end up having more in bags than out of them.

Price breakdown:

Pine wood plank from Home Depot $16
Long wood dowel from Home Depot to make into 5 pegs $3
Brass hooks from Lowes 6 at $1.19 a piece
Wood stain and polyurethane my dad had lying around in the basement, along with a power drill, sand paper, paintbrush, and a ruler.

So here it is







Note: no woodshop at my school, so this was also my first minor venture into the practice.

italianstallion what stopped you from opening the Vegas and Taxi cover?

My avatar shows why I wouldn't open the Las Vegas, due to a misprint on one of the slot machines. Not sure if its worth anything or not, but just want to be safe.

 

I just like to keep things how they come, especially collectable items. My room is chuck full of collectable things besides golf stuff that I've aquired over the past, and it just doesn't feel right to me to take something out of its original state when its more sought after with orginal tags and packaging.

Yeah I game my Vegas. Not if I would have gotten a Circle L one..... that would have been hard to open it. I probably would sold it to the masses to fund a putter purchase.

 

Congrats on ur headcover rack.... I have made a few and so has Chris..... It was mighty hard to open some of the covers just to put them on the rack. Be strong!!! LOL
