Titleist VG3 irons

I am looking for input on Titleist VG3 irons. Head size, weight, feel, lofts, general performance etc.

All depends on what you're used to. For most they're larger heads, average weight, soft feel, stronger lofts, and AWESOME performance

They are not players cavity back irons but game improvement clubs. Feel is excellent with
forgiving performance. A standard shaft will produce a D1 SW. Lofts are strong. Their
are two different models out. 2011 and 2012

I currently play the VG3 4-P with nspro 950 stiff. Overall head profile I would say it's quite similar to the AP2, except for the top line. It’s thick and confidence inspiring if that's what you are after. Attention to detail is amazing. They look great in person.

The feel is soft but powerful. I don't know if this makes any sense, but it just feels very lively to me. Lofts are very strong. I don’t remember the exact specs but I think the pitching wedge comes in 44 degree. I basically just ignore the numbers on them and play the yardage accordingly (ie use P as my 9).

Performance is hard to say. It’s the indian not the arrow, so I won’t comment too much on this.

I would rank these in terms of forgiveness/playability right between AP2 and AP1. If you can swallow the high price and the thick top line, I think the VG3 can give you almost the best of both worlds, great look/soft forged feel of the AP2 and the forgiveness of the AP1.

The downside with these, as is with most JDM stuff, is unless you live in Japan or some parts of Asia, it’s near impossible to find a demo.

Just had my set arrive at my door step, they look amazing, I would say the sole is similar width size as the ap2, overall head is slightly bigger, without being as big as boat!
the finish is stunning, much better looking than the ap1, my guess these are ap1/ap2 but forged , a perfect fit between a G.I and a players iron, think diablo forged with a thinner sole and sleeker cavity, imported from japan but well worth the dollar, the 2013 is discounted as the 2014 model launches end of this month so there are some great deals to be had if your quick!!!!!
