True Linkswear Fit?

I have footjoy contours in a 13XW, and they are just BARELY comfortable. Still a little snug, and my feet are wore out at the end of the day. In Nikes and Adidas, I wear 14 and 15.

 

Can anyone comment on the fit of the Trues? I want to order a few pair, but want to make sure on the fit before I do so

Wow, that's quite a foot you have. I'd go with a 14. They are wider than Nike or Adidas, but I'm not sure about an extra wide.

There is a size 15 on RBG for $50. Wondering if I should snag those. They are last year's tours, which I heard fit a little small, so might be a good fit.

Those are the 2011 Tours. The 2012 Tours are $69.99 on RBG. I can't comment on the fit of the '11s - I picked up a pair when they were $29.99 at Budget Golf but haven't worn them yet. I love the 2012 Tours, the 15 fits my 15EEEE foot nicely.

Well, if i were to order a new pair from true... which would you guys think would be good for a first pair? I am looking to get away from the norm... but cant decide betweenthe PHX, or the Tours, or Proto's/

The 2012 Tours are a proven commodity. I have 2 pairs of them and love them. I have not tried on the protos but I like the looks of them. If I were you, I would buy the 2012 tours at a reduced price(about $70.00 at RBG) and if you like them, then try on a pair of protos when you have a chance. The only reason I have not purchased a 2013 pair of Tours or Protos(I hope Mr True is listening), is that I can not find them anywhere around here(Nashville,TN) to try them on. I guess my purchase will have to wait till they show up around these parts.

The originals are better then the new ones, I have 3 pairs stockpiles,

the 2012's were a firmer shoes and I found they had pressure points around the toe

No pressure points for me around the toe on the 2012 Tours that I experienced. The only issue I have was with the tongue on the left shoe with both pairs. It dug into my left ankle on both pairs(would be on the right side of the tongue). I manipulated the leather and material with my hand to make it softer and it worked. Hopefully, this issue has been corrected in the 2013 models(wouldn't know until we get some here to try them on).

I wear 12.5's in the Adidas tour 360 4.0's and Samba's; 13.0 in the crossflex, puremotion, and any adidas running shoe. I wear an 11.5 in the 2012 True Tour's, they fit very well. I can wear a 12 and they are a tad too large, but doable. Have also worn 11.5 in the phx and these were even a tad bigger the 11.5 in the tour model. Much more room in the toe box of the true's vs any of the adidias, w/ the exception of the puremotions which have a fair amount of room in the toe box, but not quite as much as the trues. the puremotions in 13 fit very close to the 11.5 true, maybe more like an 11.75 true. profiles and shape of the shoe are close as well.

I wear a 9.5 in most shoes and the 2012 True Tour fit me perfectly at this size. I am also a 9.5 in FJ Contours but they now feel real tight as compared to the true tour at the same size. All my dress shoes are 9.5 so True is true to size for me. I thought the FJ Contours were the best shoe for me until I was introduced to True's. It is a shoe that will really help you with posture and feel. You will recognize how powerful the ground is to you producing a more powerful swing when you wear these shoes. The balance point in the way you have your weight is very evidenced in this shoe. You want to have a little more weight on your toes and these shoes make it easy to make that happen..This shoe will help you with your game if you let it.

I usually where 10.5 in all my shoes. 2013 True Tour i wear a size 10

I usually wear a 10 but with my True Linkswear Tours, I wear a 9 comfortably. I was surprised actually how big they were.

I wear a 12 in nikes, in my 2011 tours I wear 22, the 2012 I actually had to go down to an 11. I think the 2011's are better. Better fit, softer feeling overall, wear better.

I ended up ordering a 13 in the Proto's... so we shall see what happens, and if they dont fit, i will just exchange them. love True's policy.
