Older Vega irons?

I'm currently watching a set of Vegas on ebay. They aren't the current models and kind of look like a Nike split cavity.

 

The only thing that concerns me is that they look like they have quite a bit of offset.

 

Does anyone have any info, I've tried searching the net and on here but not had any joy?

I've seen and tried several Vega CBs and none of them have excessive offset. Actually they have less offset than most other CB irons.

I'm lucky enough to own a set of Vega Kyoei RAF-001i "perfect iron" CBs and don't consider them to have a lot of offset. I'll try and get some pics up for you ASAP.

Would be interested in seeing a pic of those to see if they are the same model as the Vega "Perfect irons" I picked up last year ...

The RAF-001i's were some great clubs. Very hard to find.

They were unbelievably forgiving considering they looked like a muscleback from just about all angles. They were just as good as the Miura MC-102's I had.

Blade Junkie, hope you've got your answer now, and I hope you've got a set of these as well. Agree w/ ucdan5, a great blend of muscle/blade & cavity back with max forgiveness.

Vega irons are the best great feel . I have a full set just waiting for the right putter !!! Vega irons and wedges look cool in the bag

Those Vega split irons you are looking at and posted pics of are the Vega model for left handed irons. Left handed Vega irons are not the same models as all the right handed that is why you can not find them on there website. They do not make the right handed models in left handed, so this is the only cavity they offer in left handed irons. I am playing the VC-01 irons and the VM-02 irons and love them. The wedges are even better and have great feel. I will not play others after hitting these. I looked into left handed ones and that is how I found out the models they offer. Hope that helps.
