[/quote]Bigger and more clunky? Owned both and think totally opposite. XHP has liitle to no offset based on at least my eyes and the numbers I have seen. To each his own.

I was fitted last weekend for a new set of irons. On my radar were the X Hot Pros, Rocketbladez Tours and i 20s. I'm an 11 HC (UK) and was playing Wilson Ci9s in reg steel stock. Fancied a new set and wanted to see if my game had improved sufficiently in the 3 yrs since my last iron purchase to move to stiff shafts in line with my driver/fw/hybrid. Was fitted indoors on trackman.

To my mind the X Hot Pro was much better:
- looked better behind the ball
- feel, which is know is subjective, was better
- stock shaft fitted my swing the better
- distance better (but the lofts are stronger than Ci9, RB Tours and i20s, so to be expected)

From what I can remember the stats were:[list=1]
[*]Wilson 6 iron = SS low 80s, c.165 yd distance, dispersion c.12 yds
[*]X Hot pro with PX 95 Flighted 5.5 = roughly same SS as Wilsons an maybe a touch longer, but felt nicer at impact
[*]X Hot pro with PX 95 Flighted 6.0 = wow, SS 88 av, smash 1.35, distance up to 180 yd av (stronger loft compared to my Ci9), dispersion of 5 yds (all a little right of target line)
[*]TM RB Tours with KBS Tour stiff = SS droped to low 80s, smash dropped, distance fell (lofts?), dispersion 20 yds.
[*]TM RB Tours with llighter flighted shaft from the standard RB = SS mid 80s, smash dropped, distance fell (lofts?), dispersion c.15 yds.
[*]Ping i20 with stock CFS stiff = SS mid 80s, smash under 1.28, distance down (expected due to lofts). Was straightest of the three but wider dispersion (10 yds) than X Hot Pro, feel not as good as X Hot pro.

I did't really understand this bit but the fitter was looking at some graphs on Trackman relating to 'shaft loading / frequency' (?) and was saying I was loading the PX 95 6.0 much better than the other shafts so maybe this is what we driving the better stats / results.

I ended up with 4-GW X Hot Pro PX 95 Flighted 6.0, standard length, 2 degrees upright and after 2 rounds with them I'm very hapy with my choice.

My only 'gripe' (and I guess i'm being picky here) is the AW. It is a little 'funky' looking compared to the rest of the set - another thread commented that it looks like it is from another set and I have to agree. My Ci9 GW was one of my fav clubs and just looked like a more lofted version of the PW. The X Hot Pro AW does look 'different' and the jury is out on whether i can adapt.
