Worth changing my takeaway? 3 handicap

So I've been through a few different takeaways the last 4 years since I started playing. For a long time I was under the plane and very flat. I fought the ball fading/slicing and hit a weak glancing shot. I then switched to way outside on my takeaway and was able to draw the ball consistently and added 10-15 yards to each club.

My current swing is kind of in between but is still a bit outside. I strike the ball well and hit a draw as my stock shot. My big misses are sweeping hooks and lazy duck hooks if I get lazy in my downswing and don't turn hard enough to my right side. Essentially I'm a one plane swinger with 2 plane tendencies?

Anyways, I am happy with the way I'm striking the ball, but I almost want that ideal takeaway as a vanity/look thing as I'm not sure how much it will help my ball striking.

Any comments? Tips on achieving a more ideal takeaway? Thanks

Well your first problem is that your standing on the wrong side of the ball. All jokes aside, don't worry about your takeaway, it looks xxxxxx' badass. Your downswing and impact position are great, and that's what matters. Of course this is coming from someone who loves to see people stick with their unique golf swings.

I agree that I like unique swings, especially on tour. For some reason I want a good looking swing, lol. I guess it's just vanity.

Your takeaway doesn't matter because you get on plane at the top so I wouldn't worry about it. That is why you are stricking it well everything after down swing and all is good. Keep it up looks good!

Ok, even though all was well I had to tinker with my swing. Here is the new takeaway...I was able to get after it a bit more without fear of a big hook which was nice. I almost think my takeaway is a bit long and I come just a tiny tiny bit OTT.

Any opinions other than I need to lose some weight? Lol
