Heard about this on the radio this morning. I was trying to figure out how they judge the distance of your shots and the best I can guess is that since you have to tap your club to your belt prior to every shot, it calculates the distance from your last tap. Seems like a neat product.

Looks really cool. The couple of questions that immediately pop into mind for me are: How do you account for a ball hit out of bounds (I know this doesn't happen to any wrxers)? How much do the pins that go into the grip weigh? Do they already have all the courses built in? Thinking of donating anyways...

I looked at some of the comment banter on their site. They will give you 18 tags for your 14 clubs (since you might have a few extra you swap in and out). The idea is to use one of those extra tags as a "penalty tag" that you could attach to something and tap it against the clip-on unit whenever you take a penalty. Also, there will be the ability to edit the shot info between holes or after the round on your smartphone.

They should have a ball-marker or divot tool to use as the penalty tap.

It's like the smart tags Sky Caddie announced a few years ago with the SGX. They never delivered on those.
