Endorsement deals over the years

While watching highlights of the 1994 US Open, I noticed Lee Janzen carrying his Hogan staff bag. This made me think that Lee has had several endorsement deals over the years. With 8 wins, including 2 US Opens which the 1998 US Open was his last PGA Tour victory, do you think the switching caused his game to fall off? I know others have had several too - Ernie with Lynx, TM, and now Titleist - but he seemed to stick with one for several years.

Just an observation I made and thought it would make some nice discussion.

More than likely his personality - that guy is an @#$@#$. He was at the resort my wife and i were at for our honeymoon (Bahamas) and i've never seen someone so rude in my life. He was rude to other guests, staff, etc. This wasn't a one time thing either - this was over the course of a week+ (we saw him almost every day).

I should mention that I have been around the man several times and he was always a complete gentleman, I'm not questioning the validity of your story, just think it's important to give my interraction with the man.

Hes has been with Titlesit, Ram, Hogan, Founders Club, Nicklaus,TaylorMade, Cally, Macgregor, and Mizuno I know, and I may have forgotten one.

I might be wrong on this but when he won in 93 he was on Founders Club Staff and playing 67 MacGregor VIP's.

I don't know about Lee, but players change for all sorts of reasons. Money, like the equipment better, ect. But it is not always by choice either. Sometimes those contracts just don't get renewed. Especially if a guy is too hard to deal with and not really performing.

I have never met Lee personally. My only brush with him was back in December 94 or 95 at Lake Nona in Orlando; can't remember which. He was practicing two spots down from me at the range - he was with Nicklaus at that time - Air Bear Linear Dynamics...I was in awe how far he was hitting the ball for a somewhat skinny guy.

Lee is a super guy. I know him well and he is not a rude guy. You attacking him on a thread about his equipment says more about you than it does about Lee.
