I just realized half of you have the wrong pairings. Because of the PM system only allowing 5 recipients, I sent two batches. One of them was wrong. Here is the correct pairings.

If I break 80 tomorrow it'll be a good day. Living in Utah where its snowing will do that to you.

 

I have played with many of the golfers in the bay. There are more then a handful that can score in the 70s, including a few that will be there tomorrow. There are also many that will openly tell you they're not very good.

It's hard to judge playing ability at Moffet because the course can be pretty forgiving. We also rarely have large groups anymore. This outing is the first like this in almost a year.

 

That being said, we get scores from the high 60s to mid 80s. While most are in the 70s, I have seen the same guy shoot 65 one day and 75 a few days later. The PGA pros are consistently in low 70s, once in a while breaking 70, everyone else is up and down.

 

Scores really don't matter as a criteria for being in these groups. Pace of play and being fun to be around is all that matters.

 

And it never fails, get 3 or 4 groups in a skins game, and there is always one guy who didn't break 80 winning an $80 skin.

So true... out last outing (like Demo said..year+ ago) we all sucked... I dont think anyone broke 80 to my knowledge and this included some low single digit hcpr's... fun is the name of the game....

 

The weather sucked today(cold).. I was across the bay @ Poppy shooting my steller 81 :)

I also had a great time today. I was a pleasure to meet everyone. I had more laughs than good shots but sometimes thats good enough. ( Oh and Chris, for not playing for a few months you sure had your moments, how about your trap shot on 18?) If Kasco handn't made that LUCKY putt we would have had em :)

PlusI got to hit a pre-release shaft to boot (the EPIC, thanks icemakr), which somewhat offset all the birdies he and Shortknock were throwin' up there. LOL. Think the highlight for me was covering icemakr's last birdie. :)

Look forward to doing it again, with cards to follow!! spoke to my friend, he and I will start working on some of the locations we discussed. Hows March 1st or 2nd sound to everybody? Think of temps in the high 60's. :) :fool: :cheesy: :cheesy:

It was really great to meet some new guys, and play some golf. I had a great time today.

You weren't the only one that felt embarrassed out there. I hit a ball BACKWARDS! It was sitting down in that spongy grass on 3 and I topped the damn thing and the ball some how went backwards about 18 inches! LOL! It was sad. I just feel lucky that no one capped me on 10.
