5 Iron: 27° 180

6 Iron: 30.5° 170

PW: 46° 125

GW: 50° 115

Lofts are for the most part 1º strong (Cleveland Std.). Seldomly swing hard at irons that is why the yardages are a little shorter.

My iron maximum distances are as follows for a normal 70 degree day with little wind and a solid strike. I almost never hit my irons maxed out, it leads to many inconsistent strikes, a very high ball flight with a bigger curve, and almost no spin control for me personally.

2 iron 235 normal max

3 iron 225 normal max

4 iron 210 normal max

5 iron 200 normal max

6 iron 185 normal max

7 iron 170 normal max

8 iron 160 normal max

9 iron 145 normal max

Pitch 135 normal max

Gap 115 normal max

Lob 100 normal max

these seem like a joke i dont think i saw a driver that goes less than 250...i mean some of you should be on a tour with those distances

im guessing that a lot of kids do lie about there yardage probly by about 10 yrds but being on the tour all come sown to putting and chipping. thats whay you dont see long drive champs on tour.

yeah guys, im sorry but this gets a bit out of hand typically, on the coursei hit it exactly 260-275 MAX at 280. and im 6'1'', 160/ Im skinnier but not small, and kinda strong, so these yardages are kinda bologna to me. anyeways, i know alot of guys swing harder than they should , and thats why they kill it, but, the key is exactly what golfman said, if you cant putt or chip, you suck! so who cares if you bomb and gouge,

I'm not gonna lie, and i hit my driver further two years ago, but i dropped 30 pounds so i don't mean losing some distance as compared to being fit now. give or take a few yards.

I play with a lot of very good junior golfers and while some kids hit it VERY far, there is a general yardage for each club that seems to be the spot on 'average' as far as irons go. I have played with some kids that DO hit PW 140-145 on a smooth, stock swing, but this is definitely not 'normal'. Driver length is very subjective too depending on what conditions you regurarly play...for instance, in the North East, the ball does not carry very far at all. I went down to west Texas, and my yardages for irons were 10-12 yards longer, and with the amount of roll you get down there, even my drives were averaging around 300 (and I only fly it 260-65 in the NE).

From what I have experienced these are the 'norms' for iron distances among solid junior players nowadays:

3-iron: 200-10

4-iron: 190-5

5-iron: 180-5

6-iron: 170-5

7-iron: 160-5

8-iron: 150-5

9-iron: 140-5

47º P: 125-30

Are some of the '150-PW' yadages realistic? Maybe, if the guy absalutely pures one - but if you base the 'average' 8-iron on 150, it is very reasonable for yardages to be +/- 10-15 yards. Not all the guys on this forum going to post their 'real' yardages, which is the truth of anywhere you read someone's SS/Yardage info online. When it comes down to it, it's about getting the ball in the hole. JAT

I cant stand people who hit like 5 iron into par 4s

Ummm, okay... so you hate tour players? There are some pretty long par 4's out there buddy. Even Tiger has hit a 5 iron into a par 4. And also, bragging just leads to people believing you are a liar... like in this situation.
