"Your handicap index will not display...

Until your golf club has gone through a handicap revision".

 

I understand the concept, but my club is an online organization, and not tied to a specific location. So, I'm not sure how it could be "revised". I can't register for tournaments right now. And some of those registrations will end within a month. Who should I be contacting? The Minnesta Golf Asso.? My club? I could use some advice!

Many handicap systems will update on the 1st and 15th. When I reestablished my index post surgery I was able to enter my scores right away but had to wait for the next revision to take place which in my case was on the 15th of the month.

Aaaaaah. I have only played two rounds this spring, so I must have to wait another week until it updates. Thanks one-putt!

I had what you are having happen, back in January. It only lasted for one (two weeks) revision period and then it was back up and running per normal. Guess since you guys had a late start to your year the revision is happening now instead of a last month?

heavy: it will update in MN on the 15th - BUT- you need at least 5 18-hole scores in the system in order to be issued a Handicap Index. You mentioned you have posted just 2 so far - hopefully you have other scores in the system from last year?

Yes. All of last years scores still show up on my page, but since it had been like 6 months without one, I think it's just inactive. Now I'll have to tell my wife I need to be out on the course all weekend posting scores. Darn

The GHIN system "revises" the 1st and 15th of every month. You should receive an email after every revision.

If you have an "inactive" GHIN number, another issue could be a renewal fee to your club. That is what happens to mine each year, then I pay, and it's turned back on.

I agree. His club must have inactivated his handicap at some point. If he is now allowed to post scores, it must have been made active and he should be OK and get a revised Index on the 15th.

You could tell your wife you need to post a bunch of scores "just to make sure"......good luck with that!
