Figured I'd put up my intro as my first post.

I'm 22, live a lil south of Houston, a chef still in school, picked up golf when I took the class at college about a year ago. Started keeping my scores about 4 months ago and am averaging in the +15 range. As most of you know it is a very difficult part of any golfers career. I can hit +6 one day and go out the next and barely break 100. My struggle with consistency led me here.

I really would like to consistently hit under 85 by the end of summer and have the drive to do it. I'm currently playing 3-4 times a week at the community college course because its a great place to practice for cheap ($15 all day fee, walking only). Very motivated to be self taught until I make the imminent switch to blades.

Any comments/suggestions are more than appreciated. I got myself into this game, never took a lesson, and generally end up going to the course as a single. Any guidance yall can give is more than I've got(aside from Golf Channel).
