Eastern Long Island golf trip this weekend.

We do this trip every year because we have a free place to stay. This year's course lineup below. I've played Windwatch and Cherry Creek but not the others. I'm hoping for some nice rounds after my terrible round last week and we will play through the rain we are supposed to get. Anyone ever play Great Rock or Mill Pond?

I played Great Rock about five years ago and it was a nice layout in good shape. There really is a "great rock" on one of the holes.

I had a chance to play St Georges out there and that was an very nice course.

Thanks! I checked out their site and the course looks nice. I hope I don't hit the rock. I can't wait for tomorrow. I need the rain to hold off.

Willow Creek trumps Wind Watch... Both under same management. Willow Creek has arguably the best greens on the island...

We got Windwatch for $35 through ezlinks.com. I wanted to play elsewhere but with playing 4 rounds in 3 days my buddy who planned it was trying to keep the cost reasonable. Windwatch is normally $70 on Friday.

Sounds good... I play both alot... Just love Willow Creek... Great design... Manucured to a T. Almost feels like you are not on Long Island

Weather cooperated, courses were nice, my game was a mess. I didn't really like Great Rock. Nice course but was extremely dry and coming off Cherry Creek where there were sprinklers on all morning it was nuts. You could hit a drive in the fairway and it would kick and roll right into the woods. Hit the green with a 9 iron and watch it jump like it hit sprinkler head over the green. Mill Pond was nice but sssslllllooooowwwww. Way too many groups out there. I liked Windwatch and Cherry Creek was fun. Overall a great weekend with good friends playing the game we enjoy oh so much.
