Rescue Dual TP

I am searching for a new hybrid shaft for my TM Rescue Dual TP. My latest numbers with the club were pretty good, but I don't like the spin. My spin was 4200 and launch was 16.5. I would like to lower the spin number so I can get some role off the tee.

Fujikura 904HB should do the trick. This a low to mid launch and low spin shaft designed specifically for hybrids.

The only spin impact a shaft can have on a club is by reducing the effective loft at impact - that is by kicking forward less at impact.

Stiff shafts kick forward less and so you'll have less effective loft and lower spin.

Softer shafts kick forward more at impact, adding to the effective loft and spin.

There is no such thing as a "low spin" or "high spin" shaft. Loft and CG influence spin. The shaft only contributes in as much as it contributes to effective loft.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you.

There are such things as high and low spin shafts of the same flex. This is caused by the flex point/kick point of the shaft being higher or lower. This has the effect of causing the deflection to occur over a shorter distance, giving a more acute angle and increasing apparent loft.

A good example of this would the the Aldila NV and NVS which are lower spin/higher spin for the same flex.

I'm sorry, but I think you just made my point.

These two shafts have very differnet "flex profiles" and consequenty the stiffer shaft results in less spin.

It has nothing to do with the letter rating on the shaft, and everything to do with how much the shaft adds to effective loft at impact.

more spin with a hybrid is ideal...maybe its becuase i rarely use a hybrid off the tee (for distance), but i think you want more spin with a hybrid club so the ball will land softly and stop. if i do hit a safe tee shot, its with a high-spinning 6 wood (20* steel shafted). i hit that 220-230* and i dont really want it to roll out..
