question about headcovers...

to anyone who's gotten a custom made one...

i was just curious if anyone here has been able to take a stuffed animal or any plush toy and successfully convert it into a headcover? if so, can you let me know about how much it costed you (outside of the actual plush doll)... thanks!

I hate to bump an old thread, but this is exactly what I was going to post, but I decided to search first, so if anyone has any ideas as to where to go, or what size doll to get even it would be awesome to find out.

Most people use the ones you get out of those "Claw" vending machines. Cut, sew and glue things onto a barrel cover.

I don't see why not, you may have to cut some of Mario's Word not allowed off, but I think it could be done. Great idea, and a really good way to get that one of a kind head cover.

This is a stuffed animal that I got from my nephew, so I thought rather than leaving it in some dusty corner I would put it into use where I could see it all the time, so with a little work it became my hybrid cover. I thought a lamb was fitting as my driver may be mean to me sometimes, but my hybrid is as gentle as a lamb and has never bitten me.

Yeah, i was going to go that route myself actually and mario was one of my options. However this was with a Rapture, now i have a D1 and I'm not so certain i could pull it off anymore. but your mario bro shouldn't be a problem.

What a Coincidence!! I just ran into this Posting, and I just finished doing just this. I had a "Gainer the Gopher" Stuffed animal. He is the BELOVED Mascot of the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football team (CFL-Canadian Football League). Anyways I had my sister modify him a bit. I gutted him and then took a Tour Edge Exotics fairway wood headcover and shoved it up inside. She then cut him up the middle and hand stiched around the zipper and rest of the body. Here is some pictures. I am VERY happy with the way he turned out!!!

I believe they were a sponsor. But lets not ruin this thread because I think there could be a lot of cool custon creations out there.

I have...took a Pikachu stuffed animal, cut a hole out of the bottom, pulled most of the stuffing out. Cut up the lid of the original headcover so it'll fit inside the Pikachu, and then sewed it up. Looks awesome and nobody will have anything remotely close to it.
