Winter golf in Northwest Ohio

I recently moved to Findlay, OH from South Mississippi for work. As you could imagine the weather has taken a toll on me. I went from playing golf 3 days a week year round in the South to sneaking out to Red Hawk Run once in the month and a half I've been up here. Currently there is about 2 in of snow on the ground and I'm going crazy! Is there anywhere in the NW Ohio area that would lend itself to winter golf? If not how about practice facilities? Thanks in advance!

You serious, Clark? :-) last year was unseasonably warm in the Midwest. I think we're getting payback now. Heated stall driving range or a golf dome is your only hope.

I'm fairly confident in saying you might be screwed in your immediate area for a dome, you might want to check to see if there's a dome in Bowling Green. If not you might have to run up to Ypsalanti to Miles of golf.

There used to be a golf Dome in Toledo, Ohio...not sure if its still in operation. However, I do know that there is a really nice Golf Dome in Columbus, Ohio (will be a bit of a drive for you - 1hour 30 minutes) It has two levels and gives you a nice view of your shot shape, etc... I've drove down to Columbus many times. Also, there is a smaller dome in Ft. Wayne, Indiana that I've gone to before.

I feel your pain my friend. I caught the golf bug about 8 years ago and winters up here in NW Ohio can be brutal for a golfer. The courses usually aren't ready for legit rounds until about Mid March if we get alot of snow. However, the courses around here will be in awesome shape from April through October. Courses here stay much greener than courses in the South once the weather turns.

The toledo dome was at south Toledo golf course. Haven't been to the area for a few years but it was a terrific place to practice when I lived in the area. Used to have an all you can hit deal on Sunday mornings which was great. Hope it is still open.
