The Approach with Callaway Golf

has anyone seen this show?

This new show on the Golf Channel is about the most forced attempt at copying an ESPN style talk show I have ever seen, I really borders on bizzare. Andrew Magee comes across as an extremley bad version of Gary McCord (whom I like) and this geeky statistician guy looks like he hasnt washed his hair in a month. BTW Andrew Magee has a lot more hair but the other night his hair style looked like a birds nest, with way too much gell in it. I had to set and watch it for a few minutes just our of morbid curiosity. And for all of you who are going to reply to my post by saying "just change the channel" trust me I did, I couldnt take any more! The best way I can describe it is a really bad attempt to copy Pardon the Interuption??!!



I know it has got to be difficult to air nothing but golf 24/7 on TV, but just give me re-runs of Shells Wonderful World of golf or replay Golf Central all day, Between the continuing pain of the Big Break and this show I find myself watching more Greys Anatomy with my wife.



On the posiitive side I absolutly love love love the fact that I can come home and watch re runs of golf on Thurdsday and Friday evening, from that days round. Watching the match play on a week night is awesome.

it wouldnt be so bad if they didnt re-run it almost as much as a Medicus Power Driver Infomercial

 

its a stretch and the forced "rivalry" is pretty painful to watch.

I couldn't agree more! I love being able to watch the match play @ night! I can relax and just enjoy the good golf...plus the course is beautiful!

 

I wish they would re-run the WW of golf more often. Some of the matches are awesome to watch.

 

But "The Approach" is terrible. I guess they figured out that the Win Zone sucked and this is their answer to "Can you predict golf with statistics?" --> NO!
