Happy to help, considering that in the past I had to fix the same problems as you! Here's the simple answer - The flaw with your takeaway is that it's too outside. _BUT_... _the most important thing [by far] is for you to figure out and separate which issues are (a) an actual **root cause** of the flaw_, _vs._ (b) _additional issues that only resulted from the real cause and will likely fix themselves if the root cause is corrected_ (_ie. **recovery/response moves**_). I'm really glad that you specifically asked for help with your **takeaway**, and not your backswing in general. If anyone says the problem is that you're too laid off at the top, ignore them! Everything that happens at the top of your swing is simply a byproduct of starting the club too up and out. I'll shut up now. Below are some potential causes of your outside takeaway:

* At **address**, your upper body might be a little open/aligned to the left. Shoulders square to the target line is Ideal, but with an outside takeaway it may help to close them just a bit so that you can see a tiny piece of your left shoulder from the down-the-line view. The video angle may just make it appear this way, but it can't hurt to check!

* Similarly, your right forearm at **address** looks too far on top of your left, which can also lead to an outside takeaway. Note how in your video you can see the bottom of your left arm peeking out from under the right? A few things could be the cause of this - eg. open shoulders (as noted above) might have just changed the view of your forearms in the camera, forward tilt towards the target (would need to see address position from face-on view), a weak right-hand grip, or too much tension in your arms at address resulting in your forearms rotating/pressing inward. At address, your arms should always be relaxed. Imagine an alignment stick laying along the top of your forearms. _The stick should be parallel to your target line, feet and hips_. If your right arm is too on top of the left at address, the stick would point to the left of your target line.

* At the very beginning of your takeaway, it looks like your arms disconnect from the rest of your upper body a little, which can immediately route the club outside. Your your arms/shoulders move back faster than and separate from your chest/core. Look down at space between your sternum and each of your biceps at address. Both of them are the same distance from your sternum, right? Without squeezing or adding tension, _try to maintain this equal distance/symmetry for your entire takeaway_, all the way until after the halfway point in your backswing (where the shaft should ideally be parallel to both your feet line and the ground at the same time). It will feel like every part of your upper body is rotating down and around your spine, vs. a push or pull motion with your arms or hands.

* You don't have very much right hip rotation in your takeaway. Limiting hip rotation to some degree (in the backswing) is good, because it provides lower body stability, but completely restricting hip rotation can lead to the club starting outside (and can prevent making a full turn, add unwanted upper body tension at the top). Adding a bit of backwards rotation with your right hip might help to start the club more inside and on plane.

To figure out what's the real cause and what's a secondary "pile-on" issue, I would try to implement any of these possible solutions one at a time. Take a video of yourself before and after several shots and rehearsals with only one swing thought, and see if it helps address your outside takeaway. Keep me posted with your progress.

P.S. Your transition and lower body action into the ball look AWESOME.

Without looking at the swing, right from the get go your setup is way too rigid. Pull your butt in a little bit and get your arm pits a bit more over the feet and relax a bit. Looks very tense just from the start. The other stuff others have mentioned are pretty spot on, but I think some of your problem is a result of the setup.
